Plex-heads do you pre-roll?

i have 51 pre-rolls that hit before movies play on my plex box; everything from multiple Dolby Atmos/THX/Vision clips to funny 'plex' takes on Netflix, old school cbs 'movie of the week', 'you wouldn't steal a car', 'no talking during movie' and my favorite is a Regular Show Plex pre-roll and a rick-roll.
good stuff and i'm always looking to add more.
if you're not familiar; here's a playlist on YT of various ones.

This is a total observation from a power lurker in IT for 30 yrs.
You should start a YouTube channel. A good bit of your topics have merit but the audience here is low key retarded and it feels like a labor of love for you. I think it’s getting lost in ether.
TLDR: I read your posts and find them engaging. I would comment on YouTube and won’t here.
On to your post. I am leaning towards jellyfin due to plex’s obvious attack on its customers lately. So I’m switching everything to that currently.

Long time Plex user - it runs all media for me. Plexamp is just a thing of beauty.
But I've never done this

It's fun
They're all randomized so you never know what you're going to get before a movie starts.
I like not knowing. A couple of them are 30 seconds long or more but most are under 10.

Anyone interested i can zip up my collection and also post the text file you need to copy and paste into the pre-roll field in your Plex setup to get this going.
All you will need to do is edit the text file to match yourv specific pre-roll folder on your server. Just a one-time "find..replace all" and you're done. The time consuming part was me building the list but that's done.
ETA xander even retards can do this

No, and I hate that your server does that shite. Thanks for the share, though.

A 'customer' purchases something of value. I purchased a Plex Pass last decade. I'm a 'customer'. People who don't pay for a service are not 'customers'.They are 'potential customers'.
Just to be clear about who Plex is supposedly attacking.

Used to do this back in my XBMC/Kodi days. Couldn't get the rest of the house to buy in.

I don't get it, i have lifetime plexpass so everyone can hit my server for free. What are people complaining about?

quote:I have the same. Plex, however, has a new policy that if someone wants to stream in from their own or someone else's Plex server they need a monthly fee-based subscription or annual pass or lifetime plex pass. However, if the server owner in that chain has a Plex Pass account, those users the owner invites in do not need a subscription.

I use to have it set up to run a couple trailers. I think plex had a way to do it natively but I can’t remember. But my attention span isn’t as long as it used to be.

<--- @live.com if you want me to zip up the ones I have and host them on box or something.
I've done the hard work all you have to do is cut and paste mostly.

What/ where would recommend a good place to start for PLEX TV?
Is there a cost, is it like other streaming channels and do you utilize it to replace Netflix, Paramount, Disney, AppleTV, YouTubeTV, etc?
