You will always be running the most up-to-date version of Android, however, as with anything that is in Beta there can/will be bugs.

So what has everyone's wait time for the home mini code been? I got my phone on November 15th, but I haven't gotten my promo code yet.
Also, just switched to total wireless, and it is a pain in the arse with this phone. I had no MMS or data, called customer service, they told me I had to edit APN settings, but the settings were blocked with the total wireless Sim in the phone. They argued with me that my phone must not be unlocked. I finally figured out that I could put my at&t Sim in and edit the APN settings, then switch to the total Sim and save it.
Data and MMS are working, data is alittle slow. No voLTE and I've seen conflicting reports on if you can even use it with total wireless, so we will see if that ever happens

I got an email Friday saying my home mini was shipping with a tracking number but I didn't even think I was eligible for one. When I got my phone the promo wasn't for the XL phones.

Looks like the phone has been well received.
My Nexus 5X crapped out again. 1st one bootlooped 6 months after I got it. Refurb charger port burnt out last night at some point. Thankfully I was using the supplied cable that has a char mark on it so here comes a full refund. Basically I had a free phone for a year, but they sucked me into a Pixel 2 since I'm with Project Fi and the Moto X seemed to have mixed reviews.

I have to give Google credit. Every update I have received since purchasing my pixel 2 XL, has made the phone much better. I think I have received 3 updates so far. Phone had been great and flawless, just reminds me of why I switched from Samsung.
Also the cloth cases from Google are great as well, wasn't sure if I would like them but a big fan now

If they did a deal like Verizon is doing, I'd get one. I'm in att though. Gonna get a OnePlus 5T. Gonna miss being on Google's phone.

Objectively, this is the case with all batteries over time. It's not a huge issue for cell phone users who get new phones soon after the new models are released but it definitely can be for people who keep the same phone for 2 or more years.
