That shite is still out of hand in price. It'll never be main stream with those prices.

I want to love them, but I can't bring myself to spend $200+ to illuminate my living room and dining area.

I did a smart switch for my ceiling lights. $35 for each room.

Do you have a link to the ones you purchased? I've seen the wifi switches on Amazon but am having trouble choosing which one I want. I do have a few three way switches in the living area as well, which has severely limited my options.

I thought the prices were outrageous as well, 'til I got a few as a gift. I ended up buying a ton more. They are so well worth it.

Most of the time I have them on a fireplace/candle setting, with realistic-feeling flicker. the atmosphere in my house is badass and cozy-feeling at night now.

Agreed.. but most of my house is outfitted in them. I love them for holidays, games, etc...

They're not trying to be mainstream any more than Ferrari is looking to sell a $30k car to compete with Honda. They are definitely targeting the luxury/disposable income market.

I don't want to start another thread because I'm sure CAD will be along in this one.

I have the lights and IFTTT and some other Android apps, I'm trying to get the lights to turn purple and gold when LSU comes on and can't figure it out. The only way I could figure was based off my calendar but that didn't work for the baseball game today. Am I missing something?

Flashing for score would be awesome too.

If I want to set my Hue lights to come on and off at a set time do I do that in the Hue app or the Alexa app which I uses to control the lights via voice?

Are they worth it? look really cool, just not sure where to put my 2 bulbs.

I imagine by 4 year old would love it, but I have recessed lighting and would need a ton to outfit a room.

Zooz is a z-wave option for you if you have a hub or might be open to adding one to your system (I used Wink; smartthings, hubitat, or any other z-wave hub/stick should work just as well). I just installed this one in the 3-way in my kitchen. I tried with the GE, but due to the way it was wired, I could not get it to work. I found the Zooz, and it worked perfectly. You only replace one of the 3-way switches and slightly re-wire the other one.

Zooz Zen26 and Zen27 3-way switches.

Have them all in my main room / kitchen and outside and never remember to really use them.

Kids love it when you set them to pulse to the music and stuff

Seems pretty cool so far, I put the two I got in the master bedroom. I’ll probably move them to living room but I wanted to test them out first in the bedroom. Idk if it’s worth it to you but I’ve been thoroughly amused so far
