From Android Police. They tout 6/10 confidence on this:
quote:
The specifics: Previous rumors pegged the larger Pixel XL with a starting price of $649, but our source says that's not the case. It's the smaller, cheaper 5-inch Pixel that will start at this price. This will most likely be for the base storage model, presumably 32GB but we can't say for sure. Google's Daydream View headset will be available for these phones, but the pricing on this is less solid. The last our source heard, it was priced at $80, but it's possible that will change before launch. Our source says that there will be Pixel financing options available from Google, which is a good thing if the Pixel XL is even more expensive than the Pixel. This is Galaxy S7/Note7 pricing territory. The financing won't require Fi, but we don't know in which markets it will be offered. There will also be accidental damage coverage plus another year of warranty available for both phones—$99 for Pixel and $119 for Pixel XL. Google will sell a variety of clear and colored Google-branded cases for each phone as well, more than we've seen for Nexus devices.

But will we get gboard for Android?

Not worth the price personally.

Lol at that pricing when they've stripped half the features from the previous Nexus line.
I'll stick with my 6P until they make something worth upgrading too. Not go backwards.

Half the features? Front facing speakers and what else?

I paid 700 for my 128gb 6p. That's about what I will pay for the Pixel XL 128gb. It's a better phone by a long shot. If I pay 50 more bucks it is still worth it. Jury is still out on pricing, but I won't go north of 800. It best include VR and the warranty to be 850-900.

If you bought a 6p why would you get a pixel. Seems like a waste. Did you break your 6p?

Nope. Its mint. And rooted on Pure Nexus/Franco kernel. Thing runs like a beast. Smooth as butter

Not sure, but it's the number one complaint so far.

On mobile, the blurb about the Pixel phones reveals a bit more. It confirms that the Pixel will feature a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED panel and that the XL will sport a 5.5-inch 1440p AMOLED unit. There's something called "zero touch provisioning" mentioned. Google Assistant, the aforementioned Google Magic software, and all-day battery life also get a shout. Judging from the wording here, we're inclined to believe that Google Magic will be an entire ecosystem of things.

A fast-fingered redditor (/u/abattleofone) also grabbed the pricing for the devices. When subsidized, the Pixel in 32GB guise will cost $199.99 (typical for Verizon phones that retail for $650); with 128GB, it'll cost $299.99. The redditor wasn't able to grab the 32GB Pixel XL's price, but found the 128GB XL's price to be $419.99 - that's $120 more than the 128GB standard model. Using basic math skills, we can infer that the 32GB XL will go for $319.99. Considering that we're fairly certain the Pixel will retail for $650, unsubsidized, the 32GB Pixel XL's price may very well be $770 (and $870 for the 128GB XL).

meh. Can't possibly justify that price over the $500 6P

Is Verizon the only carrier that is expected to have the phone once it is available?
