The 32 is 649, the 64gb is 699. No removable battery and no micro sd. Really nice phone but the price point is the same or much higher as the main flagship phones that have the microsd and removable battery.

Yep. I'm out on this phone. Hopefully this is a plus to push development towards the G3 now due to price point. C'mon devs!!!! G333333333!!!!!

those prices are ridiculous! Where's UltimateHog to defend this?

Sony is fapping right now. You can get the Z3 and Z3 Compact for cheaper than that.

With those hardware specs and battery, the prices are right.

It's insanely high, but its market price.

Shitty thing is that the nexus used to be underpriced for the specs and those days are apparently over

What's the benefit of buying the phone now that the price is that of other phones off contract?

Nexus 6 has 6" screen and 32GB -- $649

iPhone6+ has 5.5" screen and 16GB -- $749

The Note 4 is, what, $700? $750?

It is the big brother to the $550 32GB Moto X... Should the Nexus 6 be the same price with a nearly 1" bigger screen?

I wish it was cheaper, too, but it is still probably the cheapest phablet by a good bit.

Why shouldn't I get a G3 on contract, or note 4

the rumors are that the Nexus 6 will be cheap on contract...like $50 from AT&T. So, you'd save $150 or more.

Oh so this isn't only available off contract through the play store like the previous nexus phones?

When the nexus 5 came out wasn't it considerably cheaper than the G2 which it was based on? Same for the Nexus 4? Now we have a premium priced Nexus. The iPhone will always be higher. So that one is out. However with the iPhone I can also choose a smaller size and I know the camera will be premium. That's an unknown for the Nexus and they have a bad track record.

Moto made this the big brother of the 2014 X. Similar to Notes are big brothers of the Samsung Galaxy S series.

A lot of people loved the nexus for the affordability of a top end phone for people who aren't locked into contracts, but this just kills it (along with the size imo).

Hoping to find some G3 or 2014 Moto X deals soon. if not, my samsung galaxy nexus (2011) will become a N5

Right, this will be the first Nexus offered through carriers (first through AT&T at least, not sure about others).

I was planning on just moving up from Nexus 4 to 5 anyway, but this price point has emphatically confirmed my decision.

So is there anything new about the "new" Nexus 5 or is it just the color options increasing?

Nexus 5 is sold out on Google play right now unless you want a white or red one.

That's why I said it's the first Nexus offered through AT&T, and that I wasn't sure about other carriers.
