Given how low my B&W 802’s can go, I use the subs in theater almost strictly for movies
Any reason for that? I feel like the sub can just fill out the sound field regardless of what you're watching. For example, the bass Jim Nance's silky voice, the sound of a basketball bouncing on the floor, the intro/outro music and sounds effects, etc.

Man delete that shite before the wife see’s it
I kid. Idgaf if that’s what it looked like.
No matter how low a tower went...I’d always have a sub on. Shocker I know! Subs add so much to the sound...at least for my listening habits.
This is the reason for subs
Get on Spotify or something like that and play Bass Mekanik radio. Be warned tho it has massive and low bass tracks in there and it can mess shite up if things are not set right and your volume is up.

I won’t need the bigger v1811 version because I won’t use the differential in performance from the v1511 to the v1811. So, it’s just a waste of money.
Better to use that extra money to get a second sub to even the bass distribution in the room if I ever need it than have the bigger sub.
Went with the PSA v1511 DF.

Bass mekanik is a artist. If you have a radio feature like pandora or Spotify it will cycle through a bunch of ones. Some are too old and are not that good but there are some good ones.
Dubstep stuff sounds good too. Datsik and cyberoptics radio will cycle through some good ones. Bassnector as well.
Take not of other artist that come up that you like and check there radio stations out.
There is one I found on soundcloud that is real dynamic in its bass sweeps and just over all assault on the senses. I’ll look it up and report back.
Edit: Got my dad all worried thinking the bass is going to shake loose another clot
Boogie-T is a good artist to branch off of.
Bassotronics
I like to lead in with this one currently. Not the most powerful bass song. But has a nice loud simple clean intro with no bass....then a good little blip that usually get a good reaction.
This is the one on sound cloud. Haven’t looked elseware but has some good sweeping bass and highs.

Thanks man...I’ll check them out. I am familiar with Bassnectar, but I am not into the genre (not that I don’t like it, it never really knew where to start or what to try out)—I am more of a jam band guy. However, I am open to give just about anything g a few test drives. I am actually getting ready to leave to see The Disco Biscuits tonight—jam band with a great synth low end and fast drive to it.

Boogi-t is real good. It’s not full on electronic type stuff but it flat out jams when turned to 10.
I put on those radio mixes and when I hear one I like I screen shot it. Then dive down there rabbit hole.
Some of it is good jam music...things like bass Mekanik starts getting into bass heavy low frequency music made for flexing woofers. Some of it is low low...if your subs are ported make sure there re subsonic filters in place or it could damage stuff.

That’s pretty cool that ARC comes built into it. Can you make adjustments to its settings or it auto calibrates and that’s it?
And cool idea building in a tone sweep that you can pause to find and control your rattles.
I usually run tones that are on bass mekanik...alblums...CD...stream....just wondering about this...what do you call them now when you stream
This is what I’m going to use to tackle room modes.

Keep in mind that a decent receiver nowadays will do much of what is contained within that sub but do it for all the speakers and sub (in terms of calibration and room correction).
Also, $800 for a 10" driver that hits 600W peak and rolls off in the 25-30 hz range is a lot of money for those specs.
For comparison sake, an SVS PB-2000 is the exact same price, but with a 12" driver, 1100 W peak (500 continuous), and rolls off in the low 20s. It is quite a bit bigger and heavier though.

Tend to agree it’s a little pricy. Probably sounds good.
