I do not normally post here so excuse my ignorance. I need a new work laptop. Needs to be the compatible with the most up to date Microsoft Business software. Thought?

Any Windows 10 laptop with Intel i5 or i7 processor will work fine. 8Gb of RAM is probably good, 16Gb if you work with huge documents or with multiple apps open at once. AMD processors show up in laptops too, but I don't have experience with them to compare to Intel's.
Size of display and storage drives will depend on how you plan on using the laptop. If it's connected to an external monitor or if you what portability, then you can look at some of the smaller lighter 13" models. Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, Asus, Acer, Samsung, HP, etc... are some of the top brands. Dell, Lenovo and maybe some of the others have business lines that are usually well built, but not cutting edge, hopefully more dependable.

I have a Dell (lol) and it just not working. I spent a ton of time with IT on the phone today. I used to have a Lenovo. What is the top business model yall would recommend?
I spend 12+ hours on insurance websites per day. So it does not to be crazy fancy. I like a larger laptop because I move around to work. So a desktop is not really an option.

Around $2000.
uh
that's way high unless you need some high-end graphics for video editing or something

what programs are you using this for?

so 15.6" or 17.3"?
most of your fancy ones will be 14" like an X1 Carbon from Lenovo. The $1200 one with the i-7 and 16GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD is probably more than enough for you

I need nothing more than internet, Adobe and whatever server I'm forced to use. I was approved for half the cost so am more saying it does not matter the price. I just want a really good business laptop.
Lenovo has been the most recommended on FB.

I bought my first Lenovo about 6-8 months ago. So far so good.

Just purchased my father in law this laptop, and it seems like a fairly good bang for the buck and would seem to meet your needs.

Can anyone recommend a laptop for $250-$300? This will strictly be for browsing and use by a 65 year old lady. Her husband bought a Lenova POS for $239 from bestbuy and it seems pretty slow out of the box. Wasn't sure if that was due to the EMMC compared to an SSD.
I was hoping to get something a little better assuming Best Buy tacks on unnecessary dollars.
Said laptop....

Get a nice Windows "Workstation" laptop with 10th gen i7-i9 processor and 16-32GB of RAM. You can get that with a $2000 budget.... and if you like f*cking around with Mac install MacOS on VMware.
You're welcome.
