I had iPhones for a few versions and got tired of their crap. Made the jump to android and don't see myself going back ever. Was always a PC guy but lately a few MACs have entered my home. I hate them. They aren't for my use but I use them on rare occasions and am unimpressed. I'd never buy one for myself.
So, you're saying you're just too lazy to switch and would rather just keep complaining rather than try and fix the situation.

I'm a windows person and honestly never knock Macs but this price is frickin insane. No way you couldn't get a Windows system that performs the same tasks you need for cheaper

Not exactly, I've had friends switch from iPhones to Galaxy's and they are back with an iPhone within 6 months to a year. I guess I'd just rather not learn the hard way and be stuck with a $1,000+ phone that I can't stand.

It is the First Gen of its model so I mean maybe I just got a lemon, which would be my luck.

If it is the first gen, you got screwed as they released the 2nd gen in June.

They haven't released a $1k+ phone yet.

I'm just thinking of the top of the line desktop I could build for $2,200.
it would be very high end

Well that is just not true, but a much better workstation yes.
1500-1700 bucks gets you the latest i7 / A high end Mobo / GTX 1080 / SSD&M.2 / 64GB of DDR4 / 800-100W PSU
What else could you possibly want?
I pull fricking pcaps off live networks (30 seconds is like 10GB) and decrypt them like its nothing with this setup.

I bought the 2nd to the top of the line 13 Inch model with the touch bar, the only difference between my model and the step above was memory, so they had the same processer and everything. The 15 Inch Models can go up to nearly $2,800-3,000 all in all after you buy warranties and taxes.

I've got a surface pro and a MacBook.
Both have their uses. Surface is better for work but has a few issues. Keyboard connection issues. Takes forever to shut down and restart. Touch screen is nice.

Odds are you do not not have enough ram on the machine and you are using that slow cheap harddrive they drop in them by default.
You need a minimum of 16 gigs with the latest version of Sierra. I am running a Macbook Pro circa 2011 and it is faster than most new MacBook Pros and Airs. Two things, upgrade to use an SSD and have a 16 gigs of ram.

Maybe it was the 2nd Gen then, because they told me that the model had only been out for 2 weeks. It is the one with the touch bar, I don't know if the first gen had that...Thanks for the correction

I loved my MacBook Air that I used throughout High School, but this whore of a Pro is killing me. I'd prefer not to take it to a tech store because I always keep my Mac with me no matter where I go, you never know when you need it for school.
I hate the Apple Store so much. You try to go there and they tell you it's a 12 hour wait unless you have an appointment and then you schedule an appointment and they're booked til 2018. When the day of your appointment arrives you find out they're closed because of transgender polar bear awareness day
