Just bought a fire stick, what's the best way to jailbreak/ get Kodi?

to add Kodi ---
Download windows installer .exe and run
LINK /
Install w/ defaults, open and let it update. Close Kodi.
Download this zip in any internet browser. LINK
do not unzip
Save to C:\
SYSTEM - Settings, Add-Ons, install from zip
Select C:\ and then script.areswizard.0.44.zip
back out to Kodi, PROGRAMS
Program Add-ons
Ares Wizard
after pressing Ares Wizard, a changelog will appear.
after a few secs a webpage should open when its working 'WELCOME Please select an option from above'
click Browse Builds
Press down arrow a few times to go down the list of builds.
click Jeds fire builds
select Eminence xxx
Install
after a long download, it will ask if you want to back up skin profile. hit yes, probably will fail. who cares.
will say kodi needs to be closed, hit ok. then it wont close. close kodi.
Done.

Watch a youtube video. You can just install the fire stick on your tv and do the kodi install right from there. It's very simple if you just google it and follow directions on the video.

Anyone else have trouble with shows and movies buffing alot with exodus? My netflix and other stuff stream fine, but exudus is almost unbearable to watch.

Sure. the solution would be to buy the firetv and not that cheap POS stick.
OP return the cheap arse stick and get the firetv for a few bucks more.

Is this true of the new FireSticks? They make it look like the main difference is on 1 GB of RAM in the stick vs 2 GB in the box.

You have to find a good stream. Not all streams on Exodus are equal. What I do is click on a stream and when the show starts I hit pause. Wait 30 seconds or so and if its a good stream a gray bar will start showing up in the progress bar at the bottom of the screen....see my pic. If no gray shows up after 30 seconds, abort and try the next stream.
