I got the Max, preorder was a breeze this time around

OP you'll like the watch. I just so happened to shatter the face on my 3 series yesterday and had to think hard about using it as an excuse upgrade. But applecare's 49 buck replacement was no contest, so I'll be sticking on 3 for a while longer.

Is there also a deductible that you have to pay in addition to the one time fee?

Not sure I follow, I think of them as one and the same. It was 49 bucks as a "deductible". I think the price is a little higher than that for the series.

i have a series 2 watch that has a defective cracked face, but no applecare so they told me to GTFO which was annoying because it's very clearly a defect, so that new series 4 is very appealing.

I'm coming from Pixel XL to Xs. So for me, it was easy. I had the 6 Plus from Apple a while back and it was too large of a phone to use comfortably.

I'm not sure how that phone will compare with the Xs Max, but my wife has the X and it appears to be a really good size for me.

Same here. I currently have 48 available gigs on my 64gb X. I guess some people have shite loads of music??

Had no idea what I was using, but this thread got me curious. Just checked and saw I was up to 87GB on my 128GB 7 plus. I deleted 45GB worth of old podcasts that had automatically downloaded.

apparently the face is built to crack and pop off if the battery swells.

the crack curves out and downward from the exact same spot on both sides, runs down along the sides and along the bottom in the mid point between where the face is flat on top and where it meets the frame.

the apple store distinctly told me that it wasn't my fault and that it was defective but since i didn't have applecare and i wasn't under warranty that i was SOL.

the podcast app is a motherfricker. downloads everything instead of streaming it and doesn't always delete them after you're done listening to one.

I ordered the Xs Max 64GB in space gray. A relatively minor upgrade from my current X, but with the Apple upgrade Program, I figured I may as well upgrade.

Can whatever extended warranty policy be added to the new iWatch as soon as I receive it, i.e. after the purchase, on 9/21?

I normally don't buy extended warranties, however I am concerned that with such as big face (44 mm), I may hit my wrist up against something when I am not careful.

Nah never, I have an iPad and not by choice. Apple does nothing for me too boring of a ui and they have yet to make a phone close to the Galaxy Note series in functionality IMO.
