Is there a good app to use to record Netflix video?

The idea would be to copy the video from Netflix onto my Mac to view later, offline.

Thanks!

You know.... you can log back in to Netflix and watch at another time, don't you?

Don’t think that will work on a plane or somewhere without internet signal?

Idk about laptops...but you can download episodes on the mobile app for sure. That's what I do for flights.

The best app I know of is PlayOn desktop but its PC only so unless you are running windows via bootcamp or through a virtual machine it wont work for you.

Playon will let you record most premium channels and save them as MP4s. I regularly use it to record an entire season of shows by subscribing for only one month.

You can download them to view offline.

Some of the shows don’t allow downloading though.

PlayOn desktop

This is what I use so I have videos available offline.

I'll also use it to fill in gaps if my DVR missed a show - ok I'm an htpc user and hold onto a fairly extensive backlog of seasons of shows.

I prefer downloading and local streaming for the skip forward/back ability without buffering.

I wish them and Plex had playback speeds. I always watch documentaries on 1.5 speed. Can’t tell the difference
