Being down is certainly a cause for concern. I use a private Plex/Emby server so I haven't used IPTorrents much lately but if these private sites get shut down then I'm not sure where they will get their content.

Is it a friend's Plex server or some type of service? I've been looking for a good Plex server, but I don't know if the paid services are any good or not worth the effort. I've been holding out on updating my Plex server for awhile now, just so I can keep the old Plex channels, but those days are numbered. Haven't found a great alternative yet.

Finally got a VPN, so torrenting is now a viable option. If anyone is feeling extra generous, I'd love an IPT invite (precglide2@cox.net). Thanks

It's a paid server.

Sent you an IPtorrents invite.

Last year, someone in my house... ummm - got greedy and Cox ratted out our router for torrenting. Apparently, downloading a half dozen 4K movies is frowned upon even on ExpressVPN.

My guess is you weren't actually connected to ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN doesn't keep logs and that's sorta been verified LINK. It only takes a split second of seeding for them to get you. Back in the day I got notices from Cox a couple times by forgetting to close my torrent client before closing my laptop, then when I went to open my laptop it would seed for a second before the VPN reconnected.

Also possibly still using the default DNS and not a secondary like google or cloudflare.

I've downloaded a metric ton from iptorrents not even on VPN, and seeded a ton, without getting any hits from Cox

This.

"My friend" would get popped halfway through a download on pirate bay but they have had hundreds of files seeding from Orpheus for years and they don't bat an eye at iptorrents.

"They" never use a VPN.

"They" don't keep seeds up long from iptorrents because it's not necessary. Ratio is easy there.
