What's wrong with carplay? Just got mine, but I'm thinking of waiting to set it up with all these glitches being reported.

It’s more an iOS 16 thing. Dropping out, not connecting at all via cable or Wi-Fi.

Call volume is super low on car play still, 14pro max wife’s pro same thing. Guess that isn’t fixed with the update

Do you have a VPN on your phone? Turn it off if so. That was my issue.
Doesn't work with VPN.

But I restarted my phone a few times and it now works in my little work car via USB.

Agreed; wireless CarPlay is impossible for me right now and wired is glitchy… maddening..

Since getting my 14 Pro Max everyone complains I sound like I’m far away from my phone while on CarPlay. Very frustrating.
