Mine froze earlier for about 5 minutes after snapping a pic In rich contrast mode couldn’t do anything with phone. Seems like this phone is just as buggy as any android I’ve ever owned. Yesterday got melty hot and had to reset it to make it stop from overheating.

Stop buying Apple products.

I wish I could. The last time I bought an android phone it was the biggest piece of junk. Jack would work some of the time. Apps were 50/50 if they functioned properly. Connecting with other people was less efficient.
Overall, android just delivered a sub-optimal experience. I don't even think of the iphone. Everything just works properly.
Maybe things have improved since the Samsung 8+ (I realize things change) but why change? What benefit is there?

I was half joking. But for one the camera will focus.

Ok, seriously. Apple sucks as a company and what they are doing. I am not defending any other phone company out there. They all suck in some way.
I hate apple for this one reason: They set up their crap so that they can not be repaired. If one little component goes out you often can't replace that another working component. You have to replace entire boards and pay a fee that makes the repair a dumb decision.
I think they have made phones where when the camera goes out and you replace the camera with a new camera that works it won't work on your phone. All good parts but they are designed to not work on any phone that wasn't the original it was designed for.
This is their way of coercing you into buying another one of their phones long before you should have to.
So I hate Apple. And I hate every other phone manufacturer as well. I am an equal opportunity hater.
I use droid because I can remove apps that I don't want installed. My previous android phone I couldn't. Well I could but only after jailbreaking the phone.
Also I want a phone that I can drop on concrete from head high and not break the screen. I also demand a phone that I can submerge in water and it not break. A rugged phone is the way to go for me.
I do hate how my battery isn't replaceable like my previous phone. Like I said I hate them all. I just hate android less.

I left a S22 Ultra to give Apple a try on this 14 pro max for the first time ever. If your last android experience was 6 generations ago then yeah it’s much improved. I see no difference fluidity between the two operating systems. The only reason people say apple is better is because of iMessage. Other than that honestly the Pixel is the most innovative. Apple is always 2 years behind and the TTT feels archaic compared to google. Literally the only thing better is the message app and maybe the watch but I didn’t get a chance to use the 5th generation Samsung watch or the Pixel watch.

Put on red, glass slippers. Close your eyes, and chant (over and over) - "it just works, it just works, it just works".
That should do it.

I love to watch the TINY features the new releases of every phone are competing on now. I find particularly humorous iPhone's new little live window that's in the spot where the notch used to be.

Unfortunately, the ubiquity of iphones in my workplace is why I use them. It's just easier to not buck the trend. I find it interesting that among the younger crowd, iphones tend to be much more popular in the US.
You'd think that older people would want a simple device, but they tend to gravitate towards Android. Probably because they base their decisions more on cost and operate independently of whatever the mainstream does.

pretty much. this is my first iphone since the 7. had pixel 3 and note 20 ultra since then. honestly its ok, i found the pixel to be the best. imessage is a big deal apperantly. only thing i notice different with imessage is now i can actually view videos people send, other then that, no difference
main reason i went back to iphone was because there are quite a few apps that i use that were only on iphone.
my 7 was buggy as hell and the reason i went right back to android. now this 14 has been too. Ill porlly stay iphone but the whole "it just works" and its so much smoother is absolute and complete BS
