iPhone 12

Looks like the announcement for the new iPhone is 10/13. I’m in need of new phone and I typically buy the year older model when the new ones come up because of price. While I was researching the release date I started looking at the specs and if the rumors are true, what the heck is Apple thinking? A battery that’s less than the previous model? The notches are coming back on the screen? No EarPods included and they are saying it’s environmental concerns. Sure.... and no charger included.

I'm with Sprint/T-Mobile.
I have the 10 Pro Max and I am eligible for an upgrade. I usually just buy the latest model every 2 or 3 years. I was going to wait another year and buy the 13 next year, but I'm thinking about buying the 11 now because T-Mobile/Sprint is offering the 11 Pro Max for $22.91/mo (or $549.84).
The only reason I will not is the speculation that the 13 will have full 5G features. I've read different things about 12 having 5G.

I am past due for an upgrade and looking forward to getting something new. The wife upgraded on the last release, but there wasn't much to get me excited. Really hoping that the Pro / Pro Max models will swap out the lightning port for USB-C, but I am not holding my breath.
Also wish they would drop the physical ring/vibrate button on the side... but again, not holding my breath.
Looks like I will have to buy directly from Apple though, and not through a carrier... I am running dual-SIM right now (Verizon & T-Mobile), and if I buy under an installment plan through a carrier, it will be carrier locked until it is paid off. That would create some major issues...
I have no issues with the lack of a charger included in the box... I have a box full of them in the closet saved from years of upgrades, and we have deployed wireless chargers pretty much across the house.

Looking forward to the new iPhone, not sure which model exactly yet. I’ve got the original X and it’s been a great phone, however battery life is slowly dwindling and I can tell the speed has slowed over time as well. Great phone overall though but certainly looking forward to getting the 12

I can't see Apple making a hit to battery life. I'm an Android guy, but I've always been impressed with how Apple optimizes iOS to make the most of usually smaller battery sizes.

I work in the cell phone biz and our Apple rep said the 12 is gonna be pretty badass. He’s had the training on it but won’t tell us much
5g is the biggie if you’re in a 5g market. My coworker here in Dallas has a 5g Samsung and has gotten 500-600mbps down

Allegedly the battery reduction is offset by the improvement in the processor
It's also a very small phone. 5.4" display

I hope to God at least one model will have 120hz screens given that the Galaxy models already hit the market with it.

I would hope the APPLE rep was saying the APPLE product is badass but in reality from the articles I’m reading a lot of people are very underwhelmed

The notch is such a dated look. It's gotta go.
