IP address wired vs wireless

so i have my att router and my unifi system set up
the security company says that their version of a ring doorbell cant be displayed on same app screen as the security camera because the tech said the wired connection on the cameras is a different IP address than the wireless.
is there are way to fix this and get them on the same ip address?
***Update....Korkstand was correct. once NVR was moved off att router and onto the UNIFI network all devices were on same subnet.

The tech is full of crap and doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Your wired and wireless should be on the same subnet. Wired vs wireless are both just different layer 1/ physical layers to connect to the network.
Once you’re on the network. Most home routers have one subnet/network.
Typically a 192.168.1.1/24 type thing.
The only thing I can think of is somehow you’ve got two gateways. One from UniFi one from your ATT router creating different networks and their guy hooked into different networks on his own.
Even still that doesn’t make sense because these things are typically cloud based from big name security companies.

Was about to ask, what all is in your unifi setup and what device(s) is/are handing out IPs?

They could be and probably should be, but that doesn't mean they are.

Turn off wireless on ATT router to be sure they are on the Unifi wireless. Also make sure your camera is on main SSID and not some guest one.

Att wireless is off and all wireless through unifi.
But cameras are poe and plugged into att router. I'll move to unifi and see if that makes a difference

Because they have their own server and are not unifi.

Assuming that's correct, you can probably just move the NVR from the at&t router over to the unifi switch, then all your cameras will probably be on the same subnet.
Edit: After thinking a bit more, these NVRs usually create their own subnet for the cams plugged into them, so what I said above may not be correct. However the NVR itself will be on the same subnet as your doorbell, and the NVRs usually expose the cameras attached to them that way. In other words, in the app you will just add the doorbell and the NVR, and you should then be able to view all your cams at once.

I assume the att router is necessary because it's also the modem. Makes me think DHCP is still running on the att router.

I might be misunderstanding what you’re saying, but if the camera has both wired and wireless connections, then they will have different IP addresses, though on the same subnet as others have said here. You can theoretically make them the same with Linux but not windows. But you wouldn’t want to do that anyway, I don’t think.

The NVRs I'm familiar with are gateway devices. They act as a router/poe switch/dhcp server. The cameras are plugged into NVR's LAN ports. The NVR provides IP addresses to the cameras via DHCP. The NVR connects to the network via its WAN port. So the wired cameras are on the NVRs LAN. And the wireless camera is on the UniFi LAN.
I think, you need to turn off DHCP on the NVR. Then connect the NVR to your switch, via one of the NVR's LAN ports. Obviously, check with your installer. This is a wild arse guess.

Thanks and yea that it as far as what you described. Going to Nola tomorrow to tarp roofs but I'll try that on Sunday or Monday and report back.

To answer questions, yes att router is the fiber modem and it's fully Bridged on lass through mode.
Tamu-93 thanks to you too. I will try switching everything to the unifi network and see if that works. If not will talk to installer about your way.

OP, I'm pretty sure that simply moving the NVR cable from the at&t router over to your unifi switch will solve your problem. The app should be able to find the NVR and the doorbell.

Then you really shouldnt plug anything else into the ATT router, only your WAN and pass through port to Unifi. FOrget that rest of ports on router exist

wanted to give an update on this....FTR Korkstand was correct again, as usual.
once we moved nvr over to the unifi switch it put everything on the same subnet.
