In the market for a new TV, any suggestions?

I currently have a 75" Samsung QN90CAF that is on its way out. This TV was purchased in 2023 and it's in our living room acting as the most watch TV in the house. I am looking to replace it with another 75-85" TV of the same or better quality. Any suggestions?

I am looking at the TCL QM7K. It’s not top of the line but chatgpt says it’s the best 75” tv under $1000 right now.

Yeah, I know. I've already contacted samsung and escalated all the way up to CEO's office with my displeasure.

Went look at the RGB vs regular TV's the other day while killing time. They didn't have the settings dialed in but the RGB TV's were very bright with intense color. Worth the price over the normal tech? I don't think so.
I prefer mini-led over OLED, however from my eye test the Sony Bravia 8 II and the Samsung S95D are the best looking TV's I've put my own eyes on.
That said, the new glare free tech on the Samsung screens is supposedly very delicate, so cleaning it may cause issues. Something to consider.

I just managed to nab an LG G5 77" for $2300 with no tax. Great deal for one of the highest rated TVs ever. Check out Greentoe, can get some insane deals on there. That's where I got most of my photography lenses
If you don't want a G series, the C6H is a banger as well

MiniLED is king nowadays. MicroRGB is still too new with first generations out now so the mid to higher end SQD MiniLEDs still look better at a lower price point.

Why do you say that, do you mean for someone who wants more brightness? Or what other factors?

Significantly higher brightness even on mid range sets now that it's so mature resulting in much better HDR performance. SQD WHVA 2.0 panels offering the same level of colors and often times better, and of course the newest RGB sets with virtually perfect colors and absurd brightness levels. Add in that you can get a bigger screen for a fraction and it's just a no brainer anymore.
OLED will always be limited by heat and ABL with a lack of brightness and nothing can ever change that, just the limitations of the tech. It had a great run similar to the plasma in the previous era but 2026 forecasts MiniLED will pass OLED sales for the first time and then there's no going back will only widen more and more.

Thabjs for the response. My nearly 9 yo LG B5 65" is still going strong so who knows what will be the best tech when I need to replace this one.

Buy Augmented Reality glasses instead. Or wait until the holidays when stores are begging you to buy a tv because of AR glasses.
AR glasses are not AI glasses.
AR glasses are a giant tv screen/monitor on the lenses. They have speakers for sound.
Brands:
Viture
XReal
Rayneo
Rukid

If brightness is king for you, then mini LED is what you want
OLED has better contrast and better blacks, Mini has better brightness, no burn-in risk (though the risk of the latter is laughably overstated by anti-OLED folks), and is considerably cheaper. The top end Mini LEDs have blacks/contrast that rival OLED and the gap is narrowing. I have $10k worth of TVs/monitors in my house (probably 60/40 OLED/mini) and generally prefer OLED fwiw.
If TV will be in a primarily bright room, get mini. If you game or watch a lot of stuff in dark rooms, go OLED. Both will be phased out by micro LED in 5 years.

I couldn’t care less about brightness but I love it when a black scene is on the TV at night with the lights out and my OLED disappears.
Think I got that way from learning about contrast ratios and black levels from my Plasma TV days. Still have a plasma TV in the bedroom that looks great still.

Yes indeed
I had a girl stay over a few months back and we were watching something on the couch. At one point it faded to black. She starts digging for the remote in the blanket and says "I mustve hit the power button on accident" and then the screen transitioned to the next scene and she just said "holy shite"
