I'm giving up on Apple.

After watching WWDC and playing around with devkits im just over the facade they have been playing for now half a decade.
I cannot fathom how they spent 30 minutes on a snapchat ability that's been around for years.
The performance increase on their processors eerily made it seem like they were throttling their chips from the factory.
I don't wear watches and after trying to make people spend 1300 on a phone that apparently will be dropped by almost 300 dollars in the next generation, im all but done. My iPhone 8+ will probably be my last Apple purchase unless Steve Jobs resurrects himself.
Tim Cook has turned Apple back into the company it was in the early 90's.

If you don't need the talking emjoi or other "fancy" shite then just buy two or three models behind. I just upgraded to the 6S and only paid like $350.

From an investors stand point. Apple is doing everything right. ????Tim Cook

WWDC sucked arse. No new hardware at all.

I got a new iPhone 8 last year. I almost switched teams then. I will likely switch next go round.

The alternative is what?
I'm not bashing Android, I'm just saying the manufacturers are not doing anything particularly awesome either. Great cameras, great displays, we're kind of in a lull right now.

My biggest beef is that Apple defaults to all its own shite. I use amazon music now but whenever I get in my car it automatically starts Apple Music then I have to go switch. It’s minor but it’s fricking annoying.

That's not a small detail imo. I'd gouge my eyes out if my android defaulted to stuff that I didn't want it to.

WWDC
I remember watching WWDC for iOS 8 hyped out of my mind for it because it was new and refreshing.
iOS 12 is nothing but refreshed code from 3rd party vendors Apple has acquired and revamped apps that should have been redone a long time ago.
Idky this WWDC irked the shite out of me but oh well.

is this true? nice, i wouldn't mind getting an X
I know it's dumb, but iMessage is nice because I can text from my iPad and my phone. I know there are other apps that do it, but my friends have Apple also.

Once the iPhone existed it was a race....but the basis of the tech never changed.
we need a new space for the market to expand into.

The smartphone market is mature now. I find very little compelling in any of the new releases. I usually just upgrade because my battery life starts sucking. I'm betting that's one reason all manufacturers went to the sealed cases.

Cool! Thanks for telling us!

I swapped from iPhone 6 and went to Note7.
Had it for a month and while the phone was beautiful I just missed my iPhone IOS.
Luckily I was able to return the ticking time bomb Note7 and get a iPhone 7.
Love the phone.

Exactly. Android and iOS both have their pros and cons, but neither has put out anything game changing in a couple of years now.
I still strongly prefer macOS to Windows, so I'm comfortable keeping my Apple environment for now. I agree that Tim Cook has been a giant suckfest of innovation for the company though. I guess that's what you get for hiring an Auburn grad though.
