Have you watched any HDR content yet? That is when it truly shines.

Youtube has 4k/8k video that I've watched. It's fantastic. Cable tv at 720 looks blurry. The upscaling for 1080 on appletv and blu ray has looked really good. With this tv, 4k movies just aren't worth it at all.

4K - YouTube, USB content on a stick, Amazon fire TV (not stick), Sammy built in apps (some of them like Netflix)

Eta jury is still out on whether local-sourced videos served via Plex are true 4K.

Also run an Ethernet cable to your TV from your router. Don't even think about going WiFi.

Just received email that the shipping co is coming to pick up the tv. When Groupon receives notification that the tv is on the truck, they will issue my refund.

Now I just have to decide if I want to chance it again.

you're talking about that little zip file with the black and white & pattern videos? you just unzip it to a usb drive then run the tests by plugging that into your tv

i'm drawing a blank on the name

This tv looks to have a big following so there are a ton. here is the thread with everything you can imagine.
LINK

There is a PDF that gives a synopsis on what to do and test and recommended settings. I'm starting there. Used to you could run tests similar to what CAD is talking about and have manual input settings.

Did you dislike the remote as some did in the reviews?

Did it cost anything to return?

I'll be returning mine as well. Bought the 55". Physically the tv is fine, no damage, no scratches etc. I turned it on for a few minutes yesterday and the colors were good. When I got home later last night I turned it on and everything is washed out. The colors are almost non-existent and the tv is not displaying blacks very well.

I tried adjusting all settings, including resetting the tv as well all picture settings and the problem is still there.
