Sometimes my Hulu live sound doesn’t match video. It’s either early but mostly late and I have to close out the channel and go back to it. It stays in sync for a little while and then strays again. What gives?

Mine does the same. I'll try to pause and play, retune the channel and sometimes it works. Mine also will randomly buffer w/ 800+ Mbps connection. Basically, I think Hulu kinda sucks.

This is why I refuse to cut the cord. DVR performance is impacted this way for almost all streaming apps as well.

Continue paying over $100 a month more for cable than we pay for Hulu/etc for an inconvenience which occurs a handful of times a month.

Winner, winner.

Nah. I'm not talking about the disconnect between audio and video - I'm talking about the general delay in the DVR functionality as compared to a physical DVR in your room. Rewind and FF are way worse.

But in any event, it IS true that I'm somewhat indifferent to the costs. I think the threads are funny when people get butthurt about Netflix raising rates $1/month.

I agree, but cable with the $7 a month rental fees for access devices (ETA: for six TVs of which three got used on the daily) stuck in my craw for a decade before I switched to Hulu and the ex-wife didn't notice. Boom.

There is a significant issue with when and through what venue you can watch a particular show, for sure. Is 1923 on Paramount, Paramount Plus, Hulu, or can I stream it through Amazon Prime with a sub? Can I watch it the day it releases with a paid subscription to the above? What about with a free sub to one of the lot? Do I have to wait until the live airing is over before I can start watching and be able to skip the commercials, etc.

I chalk half of that up to my intoxication level at 8-9PM when the blockbusters go live, though.

I don't judge people who cut the cord - I just happen to be extremely picky about performance.

I basically have DirecTV and then subscribe to literally all of the major services. I think this makes my monthly bill ~$250...however, it's very rare that something I want to watch isn't instantly watchable.

I'd like to pretend I could solve the 1883/1923/Yellowstone paradox with a post it note, but it changes every season, and I just sit here confused.

I also had heard that it typically happens on Samsung tvs. The one we have issues with is an older Samsung. Our Sony in our basement has no issues

I switched to YouTube TV because of this. Switched back to Hulu yesterday because YouTube TV absolutely sucks. Not user friendly at all. Anyway Hulu is still having audio sync issues. Very frustrating

What? YTTV is blatantly simple. How do you figure it's complex?

YTTV wins on the live tv tab and the home tab. However, it's DVR fricking blows. It records everything but you can't clear old episodes or watched episodes, etc.

It's chaotic for sure. My DVR tab in the YTTV app hardly ever gets used. It's a mess and backwards in order too.
