I'm not sure if it will improve speeds, but Apple devices will give you hell

It's $80 per month here with no cap. I'm paying $40 per month for Xfinity Blast (75 Mbps)...much slower, but half the price.

Had my xfinity 75mbps been 40 a month i may have stayed with comcast. Thats got to be a short term deal correct? i was spending 72 a month for 75 mbps comcast internet. That data cap was getting close though with xfinity

For years I had $30/month 50mbs cable internet thru time warner..... that's all the speed I ever needed, I wish I could have locked that in for life.

Their pricing skyrocketed when charter/spectrum bought them.

Guys with a gig What kind of speeds are y'all getting over wifi? The technician is at my house right now and told me I would get 100 to 200 Mbps over wifi.. and only 900+ if I hard wired. Is this accurate?

His personal recommendation was to drop down to 100 Mbps because the Wi-Fi speeds with that package are 100-120 Mbps

$40/month for Xfinity 100 mbps here in Denver. Special offer that lasts a year. It'll go up to $70 after the year is up.

I've maxed at 200 on my iPhone 7 on wifi but usually run in the 120 range. It's slower on older devices. I also have multiple iPads, iPhones and tvs on the network with multiple running internet at once and I think that keeps speed down too.

Damn... that's shitty. I was hoping for at least 300 or so.

May drop down to the 100 package for $20 less

ATT said he consistently got 500 on his iPhone. Maybe it's just all the crap I have running.

Not bad to start. May try a better router.

i'd assume it depends on your router

Report back. I'm considering a nighthawk since the range on the gateway is pretty shitty.

100mbps is more than enough to suffice but i can't accept those speeds if I'm paying for a gig. Just not in my nature.

ATT installs their own 2.4Ghz/5Ghz AC router. It depends on the PC/laptop and wifi card in it. A wireless N card connecting on 2.4 Ghz is probably going to fall in the 100-200 range. A wireless AC card connecting on the 5 Ghz band will get you a bit more speed. Of course hardwire will get you the quickest speeds.

I think expectations need to be tempered though. It's one thing to max out a speed test that is optimized just for displaying the speed of your connection. Quite another when you start "real world" downloads.
