I've had mine about 10 days and it's pretty scorching. Way faster than the 5X. I give it a 9/10 so far.

I like it. But I do have the clicking in calls with nfc turned on and the higher pitched squeal. I know they said they would fix the clicking in am update, hoping the squeal too.

In the smaller 2s (not xl) a lot of people have a clicking noise during calls if you have nfc turned on. If you turn nfc off it goes away. Google said they will fix that in the next software update.

Some people like me also have a faint squealing noise in the background of calls. It sounds like some one on the other side of the room with the person your calling is sending a fax basically.

Just got mine. First impressions are very positive. The blue tint on the 2xls does show up at even the slightest tilt.

Just the quickness of opening apps and unlocking is such a relief from my last phone.

I didn't realize I had a micro Sim card on my last phone and this takes nano so I didn't get phone service until today. I ordered that tough armour case with the kickstand and it came in today too, way earlier than that shipping estimate.

Love it. 9.5/10.

Snappiness and overall function is best ever.

Camera is so damn good I'm taking more pics than ever just so I can stare at how nice they are.

Finding new little features every day.

Got one for my wife and it seems pretty nice. But of course she doesn't give a shite and just squanders its speed on Facebook and texting. Might as well have an iPhone 4.

Never heard this clicking. Why would one leave nfc on all the time? Android pay perhaps?

I am using my pixel 2 XL, keep in mind I had the pixel XL prior to this phone. This is a great upgrade, all the screen colors and burn in I haven't even noticed any difference. I think the colors are great, phone is snappy, smooth, and the camera is a noticable improvement over my pixel XL. Was having second thoughts about buying the 2 XL because of the "screen issues" they were blown way out of portion. Solid device.

Do all you guys have your NFC on at all times? I only turn on my bluetooth, NFC, and GPS when it's specifically needed to help extend battery life.

If Google wanted the rounded edge they should not have a bezel on the screen. Thats the one think i just dont like as of now.

I think they sacrificed the top bezels so they could have forward facing speakers. Which im 100% ok with. But it is weird how the side bezels start right before the curvature instead of just continuing on down the curve.

You can keep NFC on all the time. There's negligible difference between keeping it on or off

I did some research on android pay and samsung pay and that lead me to use Samsung Pay.

Android Pay:

Not all banks or card types inside each bank are supported by Android Pay, which leads to some bit of confusion. Google lists supported cards and banks (albeit roughly), but you may want to contact your bank before you get too excited about having full compatibility. For example you may be able to add a card, but you will have to enter a secondary authentication PIN to pay with it and may not get proper rewards or points from your credit card issuer when paying via Android Pay until it's fully supported. To add another level of confusion, cards previously added through Google Wallet will continue to work in Android Pay for a limited time, even though they wouldn't be considered compatible if they were added as new in Android Pay.

Samsung Pay:

Samsung Pay will work in stores that support NFC payments, but its big trick is a technology called MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission), which it picked up with the acquisition of a company called LoopPay. MST lets your phone with Samsung Pay emulate an actual physical card swipe, meaning it can work at virtually any payment terminal where you can swipe a card. You activate Samsung Pay on the phone, authenticate with your fingerprint (or a PIN if you prefer), and then hold the phone over where you'd normally swipe a card — it'll make the terminal react as if you had swiped a card through it, and process the payment.
