Apple's LCDs are by far the BEST, almost as good as OLED screens in terms of blacks and contrast, but without the color shift and burn-in risks.

It's funny because you don't know what the hell you're talking about. OLED screen burn-in is an issue with the technology not Apple. It happens on all OLED screens if they aren't cared for properly.
Many highly respected publications and reviewers have also come out and said the iPhone X has the most beautiful display of any phone in history. Samsung might have made the panel but it's apple tuning that has made it great.

I agree with Rocket about the LCD screens, I’ve always liked the LCD screens as well, OLED and it being the best doesn’t really make a difference to me. Apple screens have been great with LCD. However, LCD wasn’t possible for the X, the design required an OLED.

The LCDs were great, yes, but they’re not better than the OLED on my X. I had the Iowa/tOSU game running on WatchESPN on both my 7 Plus/X and between cuts to my wrists, I realized just how improved the screen on the X was. It may have been that Iowa was in all black, but the picture on my X sitting beside my 7 Plus made the 7 Plus look hazy and dated.

Good for you, I had both too, 7 Plus went back to Mama already. I stick by my original statement.

You realize this is with every damn phone/tv/display that has an OLED, right?? They are just letting their customers know because this is their first OLED product.
