Dell because it's not an Apple product

L O L...

What is Apple for $1,000 Alex...

The new M1 chip Mac is blazing fast & blows away any windows laptop. Amazing battery life...like 18 hours versus Dell's 10 hours...all for just $999.00.

Total no-brainer.

Not sure if you're stuck on these. My wife has a surface laptop and it's pretty awesome.

Get the one that runs the applications you use.

Or get a blazing fast Mac and run them all if need be...

I'd go with a 15.6" over a 13". Maybe personal preference, 13" sounds like a good idea at first, but for me it's hard working on that small of a screen, it gets crowded fast.

Wife has that MacBook. We bought it last year when she started doing work from home. Screen can be a little small but she can go plug it into a nice monitor if she needs the space. Battery life is great. She rarely has it plugged in. I would go with that over the Dell.

Yeah it really just depends on what you're doing, if I'm stationary I'm at a desktop with dual monitors, when Im on the go I'm on the laptop, so there is no option to plug into a monitor for extra space. So, while 15.6 isn't ideal for me either it works wayy better for my purpose than a 13". I also use autohotkey to toggle various windows I would have tiled on my desktop. Just wanted to mention it so the OP, if they haven't already, considers the screen size.

If you plan on using excel on this a lot I’d get the dell. If not I’d get mac. Hate excel on Mac. Other than that I’m pro Apple. My 13in 2012 MBP still going strong.

Only reason I’d buy a windows machine at this point would be gaming. But I also don’t really have the need for a laptop. I mostly just use my phone for normal browsing. Once the MacBook Pro dies I’ll probably be done with laptops

This will be my main computer (too poor for a desktop). Need the larger screen more than anything. The Dell also has i7 processor.

What are you using it for?

I have a dell xps laptop and a MacBook Air.

Apple’s build quality is far superior.

Nothing of large matter. I'm not in school and don't need it for work.

I had a XPS 13 but one day cleaning lady accidentally knocked it to the floor, messing up the screen.

Well, no getting around that for now. Larger screen M1's are on the way but the price will be up too.

You can't play udpated seasons of Fortnite on Apple if that means anything to you.

You’re going to get a lot of fan boy responses from both sides.

I’ve run both... apple and windows. Honestly, over the long run, there isn’t much difference. Kind of like a good NY Strip vs a good Rib-eye.

My personal choice lately is a Lenovo x1 carbon with the i7 processor. It’s light, fast, stable, and runs forever on the battery. Everything I need.

All other arguments for/against is just fan boy gibberish.

Go with what you know... this isn’t a life altering decision. You’ll most likely replace it before you truly *need* to replace it anyway.

Much faster speed and 18 hours of battery life v 10 is just "Fanboy gibberish" ?
