Ok, this is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Yes, I know that your android had this in 2010.
Voice Isolation setting on your iPhone is a game changer. You can literally be running a weedeater, blow dryer, peeing, flushing the toilet, whatever and the other party will only hear your voice.
This works on speaker, AirPods, or normal phone. Go try it, you won't believe it.
Go to the phone, and swipe down
Open "phone controls" at the top of screen
Click "Voice Isolation"
It remains selected for future calls too. Go call someone and turn on your wife's hairdryer, they can't hear it.
Enjoy

we had to disable it on all our phones because it picked up voices in the background and prioritized them. So I would be on the phone with my wife and I could hear her mom talking from the other side of the room like she was talking straight into the phone. It is a terribly buggy feature.

This sounds like a standard MIL feature.

It uses deep neural networks designed to analyze audio streams in real time, frame-by-frame.
