PUBG recommended requirements
quote:
OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
CPU: Intel i5-6600K / AMD Ryzend 5 1600
Memory: 16 GB RAM
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB / AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB
Direct: 11.0
Network: Broadband Internet Connection
Storage: 30 GB available space
Processor comparison
Video card comparison
The only drawback on his system would be the RAM (both amount and speed) but considering it's at the "recommended" and not "minimum" requirement, he should still be able to run PUBG with high graphics (pcgamer.com's recs put RAM as far down as 8GB) and have no problems (especially with the 11GB RAM on the vid card).

You're arguing with someone that has 1k hours in the game and a better system than the one posted

that un-optimized piece of shite can't run smooth on deep blue, let alone the "recommended" requirements.

You would definitely know better than I in that case. They need to update their rec's for the game because there's a pretty big divide between what's listed and the machine the OP posted (even moreso for the minimum).

Wait?! When did you switch back to Intel? We argued here for a day or so over Ryzen and Intel
Posted on 6/27/18 at 12:31 pm to 50_Tiger
I think Intel is king of gaming but Ryzen is not far behind and can perform better at multitasking. If the computer is a primary gaming PC, I'd go Intel. If it is mixed use and you need to do some media content, I would look into Ryzen.

We argued which was better for lower end systems

I would use the SSD for boot as well. You won't regret it.

Give me a 1080 for free. I'm a broke console player trying to get into the master race pc.

This is what I ended up going with:

Very nice
You went with the GOAT mouse too
Edit: I would have gotten a beefier cooler or delidded that CPU though

Thre are plenty of very good AIO water cooling solutions that are as simple to install as a stick of RAM.

I'm pretty much going to be the same build but a 1080 instead, AsRock Extreme4 Mobo, K70 keyboard, and probably a 240mm AIO.
