for everyone that owns a ring device, being out a restaurant or home depot..i am constantly hearing those damn 'wind chimes' and watch the 55yo lady pull her phone out of her purse and stare at it.
i changed the default notification after i installed the app but its crazy how many people have ring cameras these days. i hear phones going off constantly. 3x today while i was out at lunch alone..3 different phones.

The Galaxy whistle and default iPhone ringtone still make my ears bleed daily.

the amount of people who fail to 'improve' upon the default tones is astounding.

It's really remarkable how seldom you hear a phone actually ring these days, especially when everyone was so proud of their musical tones a few years ago.
I knew the shark had jumped on ringtones when a 60+ lady in Kroger got a call that launched Highway to Hell.

I keep the default tones for the most part, but it's extremely rare for me to ever take my phone off vibrate. Usually if I am expecting a call and cannot keep my phone on me.

Yeah, I turned the sound notification for my Ring devices off. That wind chime gets very annoying- especially in the middle of the night when a spider is building a web and sets off the motion

You can set a schedule to disable motion alerts at night

I think he has a Ring product. This is more hating the annoying notification sound than the product.

Nothing irrationally aggravates me more than some old person that has their ringer set to the loudest setting stare at their blaring phone for 10+ seconds before answering.

Glad I trashed my ring, and added the Nest Doorbell. Granted I already had the complete Google Home/Nest Ecosystem. I experienced the same garbage you're talking about.
You may not want to do so if you're in the Amazon ecosystem. But Nest > Ring all day long.
