Apple makes Beats. Judging by reviews, the Air Pods Pro 2nd Generation beat the Beats in noise cancellation, better microphone, and longer battery life.

Depends what you're using them for.
If working out, powerbeats pro are by far the best of anything made by apple.

I regret buying the airpods pro. They fall out of my ears at the slightest movement. I basically have to jam them in my ear canal to an uncomfortable level to get them to stay in place.
You can get some $30 earbuds that sound as good and stay in place on amazon.

Satisfied with my Airpods just wish the battery lasted longer. I'd suggest making sure they fit as I had a coworker who swears they won't fit even with the different earbud sizes.

I guess it's different for everyone. I tried every 'cheap' earbuds I could, none of them worked right. I put up the money for Airpod Pros and they have been fantastic. I've used them almost everyday for 3 years now and they are still going strong.

Same. I’ve tried every size ear thing too. If I’m stationary they are great. As soon as I’m bending or moving they pop out.

Try the earbuds I linked. You might be surprised at how good they are for basically $35. I found that they sound as good and I can exercise or do yardwork and not worry about them falling out.

Yep the Ghina knockoffs are getting really good but they are cheap and won't last as long but you can buy 5 pair to one for Apple, Beats, Bose etc... I have a set of NC/BT headphones I purchased 5 years ago for 25 bucks because I left (2) sets of Bose on planes. I just replaced the ear pads and they are still doing great. the ear pads were $13 so at $38 I expect to get at least 7 years of use.

As far as Chinese brands go, earfun have worked really well for me. Apple earbuds will not stay in my ear, so AirPods are a no go for me.

It’s a soft silicone material that doesn’t impinge on the ear. I could see if it was hard plastic. That would bother me too.
