Currently have direct tv now i love it but the buffering issues are becoming a problem. I have 1gb fiber from att so the connection i dont believe is the issue. Seems to happen in the evenings? Does anyone else have buffering issues with Direct tv now?? Was gonna add the 3rd stream but dont want to be dealing with this. My other option is to switch to playstation Vue. Similar channels for the same price. Does anyone have any buffering issues with Vue?

I had Vue, great service and zero streaming issues...I switched to DTVNOW when they came out because of bundling offers and free Apple TV...switched back to Vue after 3 months due to buffering issues.

What device are you streaming on? Are you using att’s Router or did you buy one? Are you hardwired or WiFi?
When I first got DTV now back in December I had issues but haven’t had any in a while. I also noticed it runs smoother on Apple TV than my firestick.

No buffering issues with PSVue and I'm only on a 60Mbps connection

I've got Vue with AT&T U-verse 18mbps internet using a Roku stick, and I rarely have buffering issues.

I have Roku sticks/devices in 3 different rooms. 1 hardwired and two are wireless. It buffers literally with my at&t router plugged one foot away.

Vue is Kobe, DTVNow is Dwight Howard.

What device do you have?
The big update was released for DTVNow on some devices and it’s awesome. I have an Apple TV and fire tv. I’m buying another Apple TV today because the fire tv just isn’t as good of an experience.

I have the same issue as you described
DTVNow with Gig Att fiber. Roku Ultra is hardwired.
It constantly buffers at night or any event that many people are streaming (NFL Draft for example).
TBH - I hardly watch anything on their app. I mainly use the DTVNow login to log into individual stations apps to access content.
I only keep it because its the only service that has all the channels I want. The others (PSVue, etc) are all missing at least 1 channel I wanted to have.

Carnifex. Do you live in my neighborhood? I swear you are in my exact same situation let me guess the history channel is what psvue is missing?I about raged with the nfl draft but i got it on my antenna. I'm actually looking at youtube tv as well. Good to know you have had the same situation. I cancelled Directvnow at the end of the month will probably try something else to see if there are buffering issues next month.

I've had PS Vue for a few years now and am pretty pleased with it. The only times I've had any consistent problems are with high volume live events that everyone is watching, like awards shows.

I did a comparison of each service and the DTVN had just the right combo of the channels I wanted.
Plus HBO for $5 isnt too bad.
I am hoping that with the app refresh they will get better. I have the DTVN Beta app on the Roku and so far its been the same experience. Maybe when they release a final build of the new app for Roku it will improve.
I guess thats the good thing with cord cutting - you can just jump ship easily and try something else.
Good luck with it!

I have both and 90% of the time I use PSVue. It does buffer, but very rarely. DTVN just released their new app, but I’ve been having more problems with it than the first app.
PSVue:
Hardly ever buffers
Recordings always work
Buffer for live tv so you can FF/rewind after pause
5 streams
Unlimited recordings
Not as many channels
Can be expensive if you want premium channels
DTVN:
Buffers a lot
Sometimes guide won’t load
Sometimes recordings won’t load
Only 20 hrs of recordings
No buffer for live tv. So no FF/rewind. What kind of crap is that?
2 streams or pay for 1 additional
Better channels
Cheaper premium channels

Have Vue, works very well and has a ton of channels for $50 a month. We are very happy and will not ever go back to cable/satellite.

5 bucks for HBO with DTVNOW vs 15 with Vue. I'll stick with DTVNOW

I've had it for 3 months and this has never happened to me except for that national outage that one time

You mean mobile devices? It was also released for the Apple TV.
