Buying a new TV for our bedroom. Prob a 55 inch should do trick. Looking to spend around $800 or so. Want a good smart tv interface. Anything on sale or any that stand out above rest? Thanks

My advice would be to spend 750 on the tv and get a Roku for streaming services. Easier to use and generally better performance (less buffering, etc)

this.
these are my favorite tvs. i know you could buy a roku separately, but i much prefer it built in. these are so easy to use. and i love being able to control them from an app. even the volume.

As someone who has way too many TVs from multiple manufacturers, the TCL 6 Series is a very good choice. There are TVs with better picture quality and some with better features but not close to that price. Enjoy.

Yeah I have a bigger higher end Sony in my living room but I think the tcl will be perfect for the bedroom

Exactly what I did. Sony in the living room and TCL 6-series in the kid's room. Make sure it's the R625 (2019 model)

Bedrooms are for two things and watching TV ain’t one of them...

Is that website actually legit? Always thought it had deals that were too good to be true.

Its 100% legit. They dont sell anything, it just shows the deals that other websites are offering. I got a great deal on a 65 inch TCL 6 series from it a little more than a month ago. $425 out the door from Best Buy.

So, I'm going to be buying several new TV's this summer when my new house if finished. You guys recommend getting TV's with roku instead of smart TV's?

Yea the hardware in "smart TVs" are usually low budget where the stand alone devices are better.

I would avoid hooking the TCL tv to my internet. They are notorious for phoning home and reporting every bit of data they can.
I would avoid using Roku personally. Not a fan of their software or policies at all. If you want quality streaming from a box get a Shield.

I have TV's hooked up to a Roku. I have TV's with Roku built in. I have TV's hooked up to Fire TV, and also one with built in Fire TV. I have... too many TVs.
However, I for my money, the TCL TVs with built in Roku are a great value, as long as you aren't someone who has to have the latest and greatest technology. You can mount them to the wall, and as long as you have an electrical outlet behind the TV, you don't need any other cables.
