DirecTV has tennis channel and YouTube doesn't if that matters to you.

I’m just always curious about what peoples back up plans are when they say “I’m cutting the cord”
If there’s no internet or cell service, there may or may not be any power. The horror of not being able to watch TV for a few days

You have DirectTV and youre asking what someone’s gonna do in case of a storm ?? That’s rich .
I’ve been through several storms and my satellite has never gone out except when I lost power but once I fired up the generator I was back in business while COX and all other cable providers were offline for weeks
So yeah, I guess that makes me rich as you say

Also, ESPN+ does not give you live football, baseball or basketball games; not sure about other sports
Do what?

Give up the sports.
You aren't cutting the cord. You're just changing cords.

As a standalone package, ESPN+ is pretty garbage. Now, if you have a cable/satellite package, YTTV, Fubo, Hulu Live… and use ESPN+ you’ll get access to just about everything tied to the respective service. But by itself, you get their “premium content” and I think some of the obscure (to Americans) sports

Understand. I have rabbit ears in my attic connected to a switch to all of my TVs as a backup. Basically just replaced the coax from Cox w an attic antenna. Also have a Verizon HotSpot

All I am worried about is the sports streaming.
Mainly college football.

Nobody has that.

We have tornados with "there is a tornado warning...and there that mofo comes."
Louisiana and Tennessee (assuming because Tenn Tech fan) are not that much different in terms of tornado risk.

Last bad one was only 9 days without power...
That sucks. Never been out more than 24 hours, rarely more than an hour.
