Audio issues after TV upgrade

I upgraded my TV from an older LG C9 to a new LG C6H. Since doing so, my AVR is not decoding properly. I use an Apple TV, and have to change the audio format to force Dolby 5.1 when streaming a Dolby Atmos source. All I did was change the TV and remove a Hue Play Sync Box since the new TV is larger. I'm struggling to understand what may be happening here so any thoughts/suggestions would be great.
Previous setup:
ATV --> AVR --> Hue Play Sync --> LG C9
New sestup:
ATV --> AVR --> LG C6H

Yes, but I don’t have much motivation to re-box it if I can avoid doing so
