We have had ATT fiber for almost a year now, and had no issues.

Only time my ATT fiber has gone out is the 3 times it was cut by the idiots building the house next door.

The box is in my back yard, so if my line ever gets cut, I’ll immediately know who the idiot is…

Me. I would be the idiot

ATT fiber 1 Gbps.

1052 Mbps download and 932 Mbps upload all the time.

Nephew has AT&T but copper max 25 Mbps download and like 2 Mbps upload. I feel bad for him.

Is it true ATT fiber is expanding to 30 million homes by 2025 ?

At the rate fiber is exploding in Baton Rouge alone, I would believe it.

Speeds are variable or the service drops out?

Tell me about Cox Gigablast. What is this?

I have cox Gigablast, it is fast and reliable. Switched from AT&T due to multiple outages a day and some devices wouldn't auto detect the network when it came back on, it was a PITA. We don't have panorama, we got a dlink mesh network.

Not all gigablast is fiber though, so upload speeds won't be as fast as download in all areas, but upload speeds are 50-100 mbs when I check, I don't think I have ever been slowed down because of those speeds.

How are you guys pulling these speed tests, are you plugging directly into the gateway and doing a wired speedtest?

If I run a speedtest from my wireless laptop, I'm usually around 250 down and up.

I’m wired in and using a 2.5g nic. With that said, if I’m standing next to my router, I’ll get around 750 each way. If you’re only getting 250 standing in the same room as your router, you have a settings issue. If it’s only when you’re further away, you need a stronger router.
