I see New Orleans is offered but it's not on their main att.com site under wireless (the new plans). Trying to get on customer chat now to see what's up...

Call me dumb but seems like a whiff to "roll it out today" but not even have the option to sign up anywhere. Or at least have a spot to check availability based upon address. Maybe I'm missing it but if so, it's not very straightforward.

I see that 5GB is available in Denham Springs, but no 2GB. I really don't need the speed increase at this time. I'd have to replace access points to be able to take advantage of it.

My BGW320 gateway has the 5Gbps port installed and ready to go when they flip the switch but seeing those prices, I may just pass. If they keep doing $50/month for 1Gbps, I'll just stick with that.

I just got through chatting with a customer support person and splurged and am gonna try the 2000 hyper gig plan. Going from 60$ a month to 110$ kinda sucks BUT they're sending new router and I can always downgrade and keep newer router.

My question is I'm on the old Google Wifi puck system (3x nodes) but I don't think the Google Wifi pucks can even handle that much speed, can they?
Anyone have a good recommendation on a wifi system to throw on top of the new ATT router? Or is the ATT router much improved?

The BG320 router is wifi 6 and just fine if setup well. If you need more coverage, for $5/month you can get at&t to give you some WiFi 6 extenders that supposedly work really well. My BIL had spent $$$ on a full home Orbi mesh system but replaced it with At&t's WiFi 6 extenders because it was faster and better connection stability. He was having issues with old devices losing wifi connections.

Fortunately, someone had the foresight to build roads to Lafayette and Lake Charles. There are houses for sale in both of these places. You can get out of there. It's not too late. There is still hope.

You should be paying $50.call and ask for the promo price. They've given it to me for the last 2 years.

Unfortunately, the current spousal unit's job requires residence inside JD Parish.

I have the latest Google WiFi/Nest Wifi 3-puck setup. If I go with this, what would be the best setup to extend the BG320?

I think you and I are in the same boat, somewhat. I have the "old" OG Google Wifi Puck system but I don't believe mine or the new google nest wifi (yours) are WiFi 6.

Even if they were, I think they have like 1000mbps ethernet connections so we'd be cramping our new wifi speeds with older routers.

I'm not sure what to use anymore but I may just try the new router ATT is sending me.

It looks like both the 2 and 5G plans are available upgrades for me, been on the 1G fiber for 3 years or so now.

Pay for the $5/month extenders from At&t directly.

Both 2 gig and 5 gig are available to me in Baton Rouge per my account page. I definitely don't need that shite, but it's good to know that it's there if I ever do
