Anyone in Baton Rouge with any reviews?

Recently became available to order on my street. Currently have the 300Mb package from Cox for like $80/month. AT&T will do the 1Gb for 70/month for 12 months or the 300Mb for 50/month.

Cox offered me $75/month to stay...

Have AT&T fiber and love it. Some people say you can't use your own router but that's crazy talk. Had Cox for 15+ years but their upload limitations pushed me to AT&T.

You lie!

I have never seen less than 80 and they weren't even running that deal and I have it for 90. Don't count bundle deals in that price, Mr.

To your question, I live in Central and had COX 300Mbps and switched to ATT 1Gb and love it. It's just as reliable and my ping actually improved on my games.

You can but the router they give is actually not bad. I have a Nighthawk and it performed the same and hasn't dropped once.

I'm not. $70/month for 12 months, internet only. Would be $60 if I had my phone through them.

I pay $90/month for AT&T Gigabit internet and, through a wired connection, get between 800 and 950 Mbps download and upload. It's amazing.

Wireless highly depends on your router and device - I get about 300-500 here.

AT&T is a terrible company in my opinion, but Cox is way worse - so I'd go with AT&T.

I've also never had an outage in the two years I've been in my house.

ETA: To get the most of this speed via Wifi, a router is going to cost you at least $300 - keep that in mind.

People don’t need to call you a liar. I’ve heard of similar promotions/rates from att fiber, but it’s certain stores and in person.

Certain places/people can offer sales rates that you don’t always see online etc.

Get ATT fiber, you won't regret it. I got it 3 weeks ago and it's awesome.

I pay $70 for fiber because it's bundled with my cell service.

Are you referring to double NAT?

I have ATT gigabit fiber and using my Ubiquiti USG router. The ATT gateway/router is in IP passthrough mode; so no double NAT, no small limit on NAT table, etc.

I love my reduced speed

AT&T recently laid fiber and turned up service in my neighborhood. They tried to sell me on 1Gbps for $100mrc and when I told them I have 300 from Cox they mentioned I can get 300 for $70.. I was tempted but ultimately I only pay $75 for my Cox internet and I've been nothing but pleased with it in 3 years, and I didn't want to go through the hassle of switching. I didn't want to bundle.. I don't even have tv service right now. Netflix, Prime, and HBO Now for GoT and I'm golden til football season.

Besides that, I don't need that much bandwidth. I work from home but most of my files are small anyway, and our household is only 2 adults and one baby so bandwidth consumption is low also. Not paying extra per month to stroke my e-peen.

then they have updated their firmware to allow this. I have 2 threads on here from 2 years ago with all the research proving it cut speeds almost in half. This is a good thing I'm wrong. I'm going to look into upgrading my r7000 soon now wifi6 is coming out.
