Anyone try Area-51 IPTV app. Was using SET TV before for $20 / month but it got shut down. I recently switched to Area-51 for $5/month for 2 devices and it's pretty awesome, over 1200 channels including PPV events. Alot of the 1200 channels are foreign but there's about 700 high def US channels.

I'm with vader's streams. It's quite a bit more though. $15/mth for more than I want. But we use the video on demand feature more than the live tv. Sure I could use my kodi to find all the shows and bounce around finding a stream that works. But with vaders it just seems to work more consistently (especially for the wife).

Once we get into football season it'll be a different story with how we use it though.

I've been using it since you recommended months ago. It's the least laggiest of all the IPTV services I've used.

I've used Flawless and No Sleep and they accept payments through Paypal.

I think he's asking for anonymity purposes.

I haven't tried Area 51. I have NoSleep right now and it's pretty good. They also have a FB group where they provide support which is awesome.

Vader's has the best quality and reliability of all the providers I've tried so far.

I was using SetTV before they went dark. Switched to Vader’s and it is a far superior product to Set in my experience. More content, selectable categories, catch-up, no buffering, and cheaper than Set.

All in all, I’m pretty happy with it.

What's the legality of these IPTV services? I always thought they were scams. Are the channels in HD? What's the delay like for live sports?

I'm about done with cable. It's not that it's expensive (it is), but the fact that I have to use their shite boxes with crappy interface that always freezes. For the amount I'm paying, you'd figure they would allow you to own your own boxes and not charge for stupid things like HD.

I wouldn't post a link on the board. They are basically black market TV broadcasts.

The channels are usually in HD, depends on your IPTV provider, not all are equal for HD quality and solid delivery without glitches.

Live sports are usually seconds behind. I can't be more specific as not all live sport broadcasts are equal.

The interface on IPTV service is worse. I use Vaders and it's one of the better ones and it has issues a lot. At least with cable your service won't lag or drop completely from time to time. I love it, especially being able to watch stuff like NFL Sunday ticket. There is a definite downside to it. Have to be willing to accept that it won't work sometimes.

I just paid for Vaders with PayPal as well. Not worried over that part of it. Government is trying to catch the providers, not the users.

not true at all

Smart IPTV has a very easy to use interface

The Kodi PVR client works and looks like a real tv guide, esp when you upload your services EPG.

I was meaning more like Vaders app itself. Even then though, setting up Kodi is going to baffle most people. I'm even debating it.

Now that my shield is here I'm going to try Vaders app 1st and see if that works well enough. Don't feel like dealing with the extra work.
