In what creative way is apple going to pawn off oled displays being their idea?
They don't really claim to invent things, they just are good at being the first company to successfully market things. They will probably tell us why OLED is worth the premium: the larger screen size, being more shatter proof, better battery life, wireless charging. They're going to make us love OLED because they need to give people a reason to spend $300 more on a phone.
Compare that to what Samsung has done. I'm not even sure most people realize the Galaxy's have an OLED screen or what the benefits of those screens are. Samsung just focuses on the edge to edge "infinity display".

How so? Think you would make more off selling it online than how much is left on the loan at that point? The idea of purchasing outright and having it shipped to my door on release day sounds great. But at the same time if I'm paying the same price just monthly and NOW they offer delivery for the upgrade program. Game changer.
Selling it online definitely gets a you higher value over their trade value, plus it's not the same price as a paid in full, it's more due to applecare fees and such.

The X will be the hardest model to get your hands on. Best bet it to pre-order as soon as they release them.

Even then, it will be hard. Apple store is always a mess on preorder night.

You're right. I think I will just go with the 8+. It'll be December at the earliest before I could probably get my hands on one.

i think im gonna do that upgrade plan too. must be nice updating every year
Why do people need to upgrade every year?
At the current price levels, these devices should be treated more like laptops and replaced after a couple of years.

Because we like our toys and want to get the newest one. I can easily afford to do it and it's something I enjoy.
Why should people buy anything they enjoy?

I guess if you can afford it then by all means. But phone prices have gone completely overboard and model upgrades are pretty minimal these days. I see no reason that 95% of the population should be bothering to upgrade every year or really every other year.

That's certainly not true. Not for flagships.

When I couldn't afford it, I didn't do it every year. When you look at prices I spend on my tech gadgets, it pales in comparison to what some of these good ole boys spend on fishing and hunting.
I'm a nerd, I like tech shite. Why do people get all upset I rather spend my cash on that than some crazy arse expensive boat?

Also, most people use their phones quite a bit now.

I don't think anyone is upset at how you spend your money. Making a general statement on the impracticality of something doesn't mean someone is actually disturbed over an individuals spending habits.

You aren't the only one that makes comments about this and I have heard these same complaints before. People get pissy about it sometimes, it's like mind your own damn business, it's my money.

It's stupid how focused Apple is on diversity politics and inclusion. Then cocksucker Tim Cook stands here and brags about their new campus. Like seriously, how the frick will that benefit the end user? All he's doing is reminding everyone how overpriced their shite is.
Still buying the iPhone X.
There, I feel better.
