Ya, I'm on nougat.
No idea, ATT probably has to add all their crap to Oreo before the push it out.
Android has it's faults, but Apple has been killing phones for years. They should be able to push the updates without the carriers getting to it first.

I was pretty pissed at first, but after doing some more research it seems like there was solid reasoning behind it.
Basically the options were:
1) Don't do anything and have phones shut off prematurely
2) Make tweaks to make the user experience slightly slower
I think people would rather the latter. The headline honestly wouldn't change at all had they not done this.
"Apple's older phones batteries suck and shut off randomly."

Yep, people we're going to bitch no matter what. My older androids battery was crap after 3 years. It's technology and it wears and tears.
People seem to be amazed by this but anyone had their TV crap out or refrig. or washer and dryer? It happens. I fully expect Apple to make this an option to choose "Run full speed and your battery will suck balls" or "Run slower and optimize battery life".

ISheep won't mind. They will make some excuse and then try to explain why Apple does this and somehow twist it to seem like it's a good thing. Apple users are worse than the Jim Jones cult followers.

That is what I find the most ironic and annoying about this. People are using a freaking cell phone choice to claim some type of moral superiority over someone else. I immediately deduct significant IQ points from anyone that uses the term "fanboy" or "sheep" toward someone else over a damn retail purchase.
To me, that is a thousand times more pathetic than someone consciously or subconsciously justifying their purchase by overlooking flaws.

I get their reasonings, but the sketchiness behind it is something I won't be able to ignore.
I feel like Apple was probably thinking about this a lot. Do we tell everyone or just fix it ourselves? I feel like it's kinda like when your older relatives pull you aside to get you to figure out what's wrong with their phone, and you don't feel like explaining it so you just fix it

But this is not new news it is just confirmed now.

My Nexus 6 came out in Nov 2014 and battery life is greater than a day and it still runs nice and smooth and I've used the crap out of it.

Is there a way to install an older OS version on an iPhone? I’d like to go back to the original OS on my iPhone 6.
