It's a shame. If you want to brag about all those cameras and 4K video and still offer 64GB of storage that is bullshite. 256GB should be the minimum for the prices they’re asking.

Depends on iPad, Pro went USB C, regular didn't go USB C yet. Everything points to the redesign next year for the phase out of lightning cables.
A bunch of other manufacturers did follow Apple's lead and phase out the headphone jack as well though. I don't see the point of this gripe anymore. Move on to Bluetooth already.

I wish they would just make the phone USBC and get rid of lighting.

The more shite they make--hardware like the watch & the accompanying software keep getting better and better at it.
Example--I can text from my watch & the texts show up on my phone and my computer & vice versa.
A lot of small things done well add up to big things.

Memory is dirt cheap, there isn't a reasonable excuse for the prices they charge for memory and hasn't been for many many years. It's just an extremely easy source of cash for them that people have shown they are willing to pay, until we quit paying, they aren't going to change this model. They make way too much from it.

Bluetooth has been around for years. Why couldn't we have both?

I don’t know why they even included this in presentation. Same processor as one being replaced, and that processor is now a few years old. Just slightly increased screen and added ability to use Apple’s keyboard. That seems like a press release after the fact kind of update.
Also not releasing iPadOS 13 initially & waiting until 13.1 at end of month and then multiple things not coming now until November, and a lot of focus on the cameras was on something not coming until a future software update and a 3rd Party app. I wasn’t expecting a lot, but this still was underwhelming.
Cook is a great operator, but he is not a vision guy. He is a little too focused on squeezing every drop out of supplies of older tech making differences & value in price in some product lines a little cloudy at times and also selling billions in bonds to buy back Apple stock instead of being innovative with that $ or purchasing something that will (Home app is several years old and they driving nothing to it themselves except standards others don’t have to follow to be profitable). They need a strong chairman of the board with a tech industry vision pushing Cook out of comfort zone and making him continue to do what he does best while still pushing the envelope at times. He will run an efficient company and operate the heck out of it, but in tech they need someone driving a vision a little more.

Waterproofing is superior without it. I would much rather have that on a phone, than having superior audio quality with douchey looking over the ear headphones in public that you need to get that quality.
The stupid desire to have way too thin phones across the board with manufacturers seems to be a big driver of this too. I don't mind a bit more width, squeeze in more battery too. Camera notches are dumb.

Out in public for the most part, yes you look dumb wearing over the ear. Exceptions can be made while on mass transit to block out people.

They really do.
And for a hardware company they really need to coming up with some home automation hardware including security cameras. They don’t really go big in buying companies that are already ahead of them putting out a product line that they need like Amazon did with Ring (and Twitch with this new focus on Apple Arcade now). Outside of Beats years ago, and I still think Cook got enamored by the bbc and over spent there while ignoring other companies at the time and since.
