Seems like the app is always have issues anyone else experience any issues?
Just hooked mine up last week and like the concept but seem glitchy a lot between the wifi and app connection.

Yeah, they're definitely buggy and don't work very good IMO.

I've stolen dozens of packages from houses with Ring and haven't been caught yet.

Check in on the tech board. You might find some good help.

Could be weak wifi signal hurting you.

I have one of their wired security cams on both doors of my house. It’s a really good product imo. I guess caused it’s wired it’s not as glitchy. App works well too, I’ve caught porch pirates in the act

Mine got hacked by some dude in Canada and the cops swatted my house.

Not kidding

Happened last month. Dude hacked it and claimed he was me, used my name and address and everything, told the cops I killed my parents. They show up, he talks shite to them on the camera, they cave the door in at 2am.

I've got wireless on the exterior and backyard (2 cameras + 1 doorbell), and I haven't had any issues with them whatsoever. They are in fairly close range to the router, so that may be your issue. What material is your house, brick? That would make the issue a little worse too

Good luck cause the damn doorbell won't record it on the way out.

I have a wireless one on my front door. If at all possible get it wired. Have to recharge the battery too much. Other than that, it’s fine.

Do you have Prince Albert in a can?

Better let him out before he suffocates.

Mine works fine. Often, without high settings, catches the back of folks dropping stuff off. My neighbor across the street set one up on one of his outer columns on the approach to the door - funny thing is most folks walk up driveway and go behind his

Yikes that sucks man.

I’ll go out and test it on motion and won’t pick me up sometimes. Don’t get it . Also get frozen videos sometimes.

Yep. We inherited a Ring doorbell and it fricking suck.

We had a Nest system at the old house, and will likely be going back to that over the Holidays.

Just to add to my post, the FBI told me between 11/7/2020 and 11/13/2020, that same guy hacked 16 cameras across the country and got every house swatted. Still actively investigating and trying to find him.

He hacked Ring’s system to get the information, their database is very weak and not protected.

There are actually several models

The basic ones kinda suck due to the motion zone settings- ie you can get a lot of bs notifications

The Pro model allows custom motion zones and overall work much better than the basic one.

Outside of the camera functionality, I like being able to “sign” for packages when not home or speaking with people that I don’t want to interact with for whatever reason (Covid etc)

Had it a while..no problems
Worked the settings a little at first...
Later set up a security camera also...
Solar powered...

All work very well....
The ring has something I also attached to internal doorbell if I recall correctly..to help boost something....for the security camera I got an internet booster to put back part of house because it was buffering of something goofy...

The support guys suggested that...
