My goodness is this thing a fricking mess or what?
Give me the search box without having to scroll. Or categories. Got to scroll down/up through a bunch of suggestions before to get to what I want.
/end rant.

Having each season of a series be its own listing is the dumbest thing ever. And then they also list 4k as completely separate as well. Makes no sense at all.

Yeah it sucks. HBOGO is pretty bad too.

It sucks.
I wish they would just have a Prime tab then list TV and Movies under it.
I don’t want to sift through PPV, pay channels, etc.

Seriously. I don’t think Prime even gives an option to re-start episode from the beginning.
Every streaming service’s UI is fricking awful.
Netflix seems to be the only one that has figured it out.

There is no drive to make the interface on any of the streaming services better because they aren't competing with each other on interface, they're competing on content.
That's a sad fact, but one we're stuck with.

Yes it does.

My biggest gripe with Prime is that you have to actually click over to the left and right buttons to rewind or fast forward and then while doing so, to stop rewinding or fast forwarding, you have to move over to the play button and hit it. Very awkward.
I have rewind, fast forward, and play buttons on my remote for the TV that work in stead, but they are small and on the bottom of the remote, so they are hard to use.
I know its a first world problem, but Netflix has it down. You just hit left or right to do this and then the "Select" button to play.

or how about this one. you scroll right in a category, click on a title that interests you, maybe watch a trailer and when you go back to the menu....it starts all the way over again.

And even Netflix sucks. However, they finally allowed users to disable the auto-preview, so that’s made browsing a billion times better. It does still annoy the shut out of me that when you add titles to “My List” they don’t keep them in the order you added them.
But yeah, I’d say Netflix is the tallest midget when it comes to streaming service UI.
Amazon having two different versions of the same movie/show, one for UHD & one for 1080, drives me absolutely insane.

While it's a pain, it's not as bad as Hulu. You have to scroll forever to get to the bottom of the movie list just so you can get more options, other than their suggestions. Then, there submenus are still limited to what they think you want.
Haven't watched a comedy in awhile, no problem we won't give you the option to choose that genre. You now have to go to the search bar and pick a comedy you want to see and hope they have it, rather than scroll through their movie list under comedies.

Has anyone figured out the “new” layout here? I’m using the Samsung smart tv so FWIW. They have changed just enough things to make it suck.
My kid wants to watch a specific episode of a show. She watched it recently, but they apparently have done away with my single episode view and option to start over from the beginning. Can’t rewind. Can only watch the next one in line.
I can’t find any announcement of the changes or tutorials from amazon. Anyone seen one?

The layout hasn’t changed. I don’t know what you’re taking about.
There’s a yellow tab that says more episodes underneath the current episode.

They updated the app today with a “Free to me” toggle.
