Does anyone have a smart outdoor camera recommendation with 24/7 recording option? I have a nest spotlight cam and its hot garbage due to: No vertical mounting, Shitty Google Home App, connectivity issues.

Used to love Nest, but since google bought their products suck.

I'd bet it would work great on Racoons and Possums too...

I just installed some reolinks that are POE (power over ethernet). They work great, but you do have to run the ethernet wire of course.

I have two of their regular cameras, a few plugs, headphones, color bulbs and strips light. All work with Alexa voice commands, I don't do google, and the app. I've been looking at the camera-floodlight combo but have not pulled the trigger yet. I have been very happy with all the items I have purchased. Let the board know if you get the cam/flood combo and report back.

I am researching outdoor cameras right now too. I definitely want better than 1080, that is basically crap past 30 feet.

The reolink looks intriguing, need to read more. I have a camera that came with our Blue by ADT installation, it's fine but not worth adding another at 199 because there are others way better for that price. I wish Nest had some decent ones, because we have the Nest aware thing with the doorbell, but they just don't. Looking at WYZE now too.

Any experience with Night Owl? Not sure I want a system run from a DVR, but my current router setup isn't PoE so I might need to get some additional equipment either way.
