A psycho is threatening my family--- Home camera system help UPDATE

Long story short I'm suing a guy and he's nuts. He's threatened my family and me in particular. I think he's actively crazy enough to do something. He punched a handicap man once last year who was driving too slow for him. What can I put at my house where the internet speed is about 9MBPS (if wireless) or what hardwired system can I get?

Scrap the 9MB and pick yourself up a 9mm

Get a restraining order and a pistol. Next time he threatens you, record it and he'll be in violation of the protective order and go to jail. If he physically threatens you, well, it's your call at that point

He already owns a Sig P226.
Don't ask how I know that.

If it were me l, outside of the gun, I would get something more traditional that isn’t internet dependent. You want something that is rock solid that will always be recording. Something that also can send push notifications or even add a Ring camera. They do the best job in the notification department IMO right now.

I’ve even pleased with my Lorex system

I do indeed own a Sig 226 and about 40 other guns. I'm a trained veteran and I have a concealed carry license. I'm more worried about my property. I can take care of me and my family.

Was the handicapped man camping out in the left lane?

Remember when we were both going to buy that gun, but you were closer and I said, "Go ahead, Broke. That's all you, buddy."
Good times...

I didn't want to bring up bad memories man. But I love this gun.

I'm glad it went down like that. I got a plain old P226. E2 grip, but that was the standard.
Nothing shoots like my P245, though, not even it since I changed out the sights. (Which I only did because the trijicon was dead and I didn't want to start putting white out on the dots.)

Blasphemous

It's difficult to get a system that is not dependent on the internet now and it's really my holdup on getting deep in home automation and cams.
I have friends that use Arlo and Nest, both are happy wit their choices. Arlo is nice because it's wireless and fast setup, there are many options that are wired and very inconspicuous.

Go hardwired. The wireless cams are okay, but they lose connection a lot with poor internet and they only record when triggered.

frick that shite, I would Tony Soprano his arse. Chase him down in your car, hit him, break his leg in the crash, pull over and get out of the car, punch his broken leg a few times, tell him if he ever threatens or even sees you again you’ll fricking kill him yourself. (Season 1 Episode 1)
But then again you are suing him, which is a pretty bitch move. What is the lawsuit about?

Wireless cameras can be good but can go out at inopportune times (our back door camera decided it no longer wanted to connect via wifi right after we left for a week-long trip, but it connects via enet and the other wireless cameras are fine).
If recently put a wireless D-Link DCS-8525LH in one of our windows facing out into the back yard so the wife can watch the birds on the feeders/ground/birdbath in the back yard while she is at work. It has a slot for an SD card for recording (both audio and video), motion sensors, etc and is pretty simple to set up and access via D-Link's site.
If you put one in a window though, be sure to angle it a bit or set it back a few inches as during the night the night-vision camera will pick up its own infrared lights and give you little more than its own reflection in the window).
