Yeah, Guzan carried Villa on his back the first half of the year. Had like 9 clean sheets in first 20 matches or something.
While Timmy had one of the greatest performances of all time vs Belgium, lets not act like the other games were so perfect. Both the Portugal goals were stoppable. Germany obviously weren't trying to put up goals on us, and Ghana got one.
From here on, Guzan is the guy. He was so solid during qualifying for the WC.

This ALL depends on who we're playing and what formation we throw out there. Hard to decide otherwise.

There was literally nothing Howard could have done on pretty mich any of the goals scored in group play.
I will say I think he gave up a somewhat soft goal in the near post against Lukaku and Belgium. But other than that he was one of the best players of the tournament.

And honestly, I think if Fab and Yedlin are on the field at the same time, Jurgy wants Fab at RB and Yedlin at RM.
I think the only guys I'd say are definitely in our best XI, if healthy, are Bradley, Jozy, Fabian, and Jones.

The first one was from the 6 with no defenders around the attacker. Nani had the entire goal to shoot at. Their second was a header from just outside the 6 on a laser of a cross. Those are not goals that you expect any keeper on the planet to make. Will they make them sometimes? Sure, but they are certainly no mark against Howard. Portugal vs USA Highlights
