Steffen about to frick around and find out he’s staying home this Winter

Middlesbrough manager Chris Wilder is ready to stick with goalkeeper Liam Roberts. #ManCity had wanted Zack Steffen to play every week, but he could now be struggling to get back in the team

I have not been overly impressed with Steffen in the past year or so. Often injured, sitting on the bench and so so performance when given the opportunity. It will be interesting to see who earns a trip to Qatar.

The thing that is so maddening with Steffen is that he looked fantastic in the two qualifiers against Mexico. The talent is there, but he makes way too many stupid mistakes/has too many bad matches to trust him as GK1.

Even if I think he is better than Horvath, I would almost rather Horvath make it over Steffen because we know Turner is going (barring injury) and if Steffen also goes, then you have a GK controversy which is the last thing you want. If Steffen doesn't go, it doesn't matter who are the other two called in, Turner knows going into camp he's starting.

He supposedly has a knee injury that will keep him out until October anyway. Hopefully Gregg uses that as an excuse to leave him at home. Turner, Horvath, Johnson are who we should take.

Don't know how good he is with the ball at his feet, but Cohen's has saved a couple of great chances from MBappe and Messi today.

With Jedi out, Fulham is going full 2019 Berhalter ball with Ream at LB. He just got left in the dust with his lack of pace, leading to an early Forest goal.

Speaking of LB, I am watching Antwerp's league match right now. It is hard to say how well Vines is able to defend the position because Antwerp is at around 80% possession. But, Vines has had a really nice left foot cross into the box as well as a nicely weighted pass over the top to a streaking forward.

Yep, it's the one thing he is definitely better than Jedi with. Don't know if it's enough to beat out Scally , who is a better on-ball defender, for the backup job and is more versatile, but Vines has taken a huge step forward so far this season.
