Vasquez, and Ferreira

I understand the bias for Ferrera since he scored 4 goals against Grenada (sigh), but I don’t understand Vazquez at this point. Hasn’t played any minutes for USMNT nor international experience other than youth stuff. Don’t get me wrong, he looks promising as I said, and has the right play and physique, but quickly baptising him onto the plane for the WC seems a little impulsive given we are 3 months away from the WC.

But if I had to choose, I’d take him over Ferrera. Trying to imagine both those guys against the worlds best backlines doesn’t compute for me.

Come on man it’s easier to dunk on MLS than to admit those guys are the best, most in form options in the pool. Only other realistic option right now is Pefok.

Musah starting in the midfield and not the wing for Valencia.

Wright scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for Antalyaspor today.

Ferreira is definitely going.

Very interested to see if Gregg gives Wright another shot next month.

Sam Vines went the full 90 in a 1-0 win for Royal Antwerp. He has already locked down the LB job for them.

I would bet he gets called in next month, but I'm curious how Gregg handles the outside back depth for the World Cup. In his mind, I'm sure he expects Jedi play every minute at LB for the duration of the tournament, and if not, Dest slides over, allowing for him to call in two of Yedlin, Cannon and Scally for extra RB depth. But maybe Vines can steal one of those spots.

Speaking of Cannon, he continues to be used as a RCB in a back-3 for Boavista.

He went the full 90 in a 2-1 win today.

Hoppe made a 90th minute cameo for Middlesbrough today.

2-2 draw and Steffen did not look that great.

Folrain Balgoun drew a penalty that was converted by someone else and scored another penalty in a 4-2 loss

I hope we are contacting him and at least seeing if he would be open to filing a one time switch.

Gregg said on Lalas' podcast a couple of weeks ago that he thinks Musah will be a breakout star of the World Cup.

I am really interested in seeing how Gregg handles all his attacking talent because I think Musah, and if he's fully fit, Gio need to be on the pitch at all times. They are elite when it comes to advancing the ball on the dribble which is so important because it unlocks so many more chances on the attack.

Assuming we don't go with a false 9, we are going to be benching multiple guys that would've been the most talented players on the field for the US in the 2014 World Cup.
