I was able to watch the first half of the Leipzig/PSG match. Adams looked good. Active, made the simple plays and passes needed. He mostly stayed in a defensive posture because of the PSG attack. When Leipzig got overextended in their offensive half, Mbappe made them pay. I cut off Paramount + at half to do some chores and was not able to get the broadcast in the second half for some reason.

Adams had a good defensive play to start the movement that put them up 2-1. He also gave the ball away to go back to 2-2. A mixed bag.

I believe Adams was the only one to play yesterday. Today is a potentially big day for Americans in the champions league with:

I wouldn’t mind playing Dest on the wing for the US depending on what players are available. Yedlin and maybe Scally could play RB

Yea I’ll pretend I know better than Berhalter but I won’t pretend I know better than Koeman. If he sees Dest as a winger than I’m all for Dest playing winger for the USMNT. Particularly if Reyna and pulisic are out this next window.

The problem with the US playing Dest on the wing is we aren’t Barca where we can plug another RB in and not lose much in attack. If Dest is on the wing that means one of CP, Reyna, Aaronson or Weah is being dropped for a Scally, Yedlin, Moore or Cannon

I watched the Venezia Salernitano game. Overall very entertaining, and Busio looked very good. His speed of thought and 1 touch passing seemed better than average, and his positional awareness was solid. He also made some good defensive plays and his set pieces were on point, but Venezia wasn't able to finish. It was a tough loss for Venezia as an Ethan Ampadu red card put them down at home to a fellow relegation battler, and they ended up losing on essentially the last kick of the game from a goalkeeper error.
