Joe scally starting again. 6 straight bundesliga starts. Have to think he gets called in this window.

I think he just drew a second yellow on Dahoud (Scally) according to game tracker

Scally is having a really good first half at right back. He is strong in defense. He made a well weighted pass to open up the field for a striker run in behind. He earned a foul and yellow card on Dahoud and sending off. (Weak second yellow for Dahoud dissent.) Dortmund down 1 to 0 and a man down.

Plays 90 minutes in a start for Lille and gets an assist. With Reyna out and Pulisic yet to return important to see weah and musah grab a few starts here before the window.
Don’t love seeing Reyna Pulisic and Adams all out with injuries this close to a qualifying window.

There is an argument that Joe Scally is having the best 2021-2022 season of any American in Europe regardless of age. He’s played every minute of his club’s league games, was voted his team’s player of the month in august and has seemingly played equally well on the left and the right.

Weah has a great game for Lille. Assists on the first goal to David. Gets a crack on the head that draws blood. Later draws a penalty that David converts.

Dest starting at left back. I assume Alba is injured again.
Dest gets the ball deep along the left sideline, cuts inside, and rolls a ball to De Jong in stride. De Jong strikes it past the keeper in the 15th minute.

Pretty good weekend for American defenders heading into the WC window. Dest, A. Robinson, Brooks, Ream, Richards, Miazga, Scally, Yedlin all getting starts this weekend. You could make a respectable defensive rotation from that group.
The news is less good for midfielders and forwards at the moment.

Weah named to the Ligue 1 team of the week

Add Mckenzie who started for Genk and CCV who started for Celtic. 10 American defenders started in Europe over the weekend.

Apparently Ajax was in Vancouver to watch Ricardo Pepi play, and they and their representatives have already met with Pepi‘s team.

Now that is a perfect place to develop

Bit of a question with Haller looking like a long term option there but they play like 50 games and usually dominate their opponents, so lots of opportunity to grow. Denilson will probably go on loan and he would be their #2.
Also Luca De La Torre is a player I would like to see replace Roldan on the WCQ roster. He does everything Roldan does, but better. He is also more athletic and is great at advancing the ball. He almost looks like Musah lite in these highlights. Imo this is what we need, people who progress the ball well up field.

Agreed on De La Torre. He looked good in his limited time in his last callup as well.

Only question I’d have is how will he do when the games turn into a concacaf shitfest with his size, but he definitely seems like the type of skill player we need to push the ball through the middle and link up. Regardless, he should be called in over roldan.
DLT might be the type of player you are better off playing at home on a quality field rather than on the road, in some shithole country, on a goat field. Like Dest. Then again, maybe he has the right kind of frick you attitude that would do well in a place like that. Either way, bring him in greggggg.

He’s played with us at the youth levels so I imagine he has some experience playing in shite hole countries.

Pulisic officially ruled out for tomorrow’s game against Juventus.

I'm officially worried that he might miss the World Cup because of injury.
