i think it’s fair to assume given who he is, his current club and his current position within the youth system, that there are many hoping he could be a focal point in the future...myself included.

Weah reminds me of the kids from elementary school who were just so much more physically gifted than everyone else that they never had to develop technical skills to compensate. fast forward to high school and that lack of development stagnates their growth as an athlete. I'm not putting Weah into that category, just something that worries me

Is this based up some matches you saw him play?

This kid has dominated for the US youth teams, and at 18 has seen 1st team games at one of the best teams in the world. Your criticism may be a little harsh.

I wouldn't go that far.

Freddy Adu also dominated the U17-U20 ranks. I added the caveat that I’m not suggesting that’s what I see in Weah, I simply wanted to make the comparison for comparisons sake to Sargent. my confidence level in Sargent panning out like we think he will is marginally higher than Weah.

believe me, i’m not complaining the fact that we’re even discussing this is awesome

I’m just happy we’ve gotten to the point where we have young kids breaking through the first team at clubs like PSG, Dortmund, and Schalke. Some will pan out, some won’t, but at least we’re making progress.

And yeah, I think Sargent is the real deal. His skill set is very polished already.

A prospect to keep an eye on? I am hearing the leading scorer for Arsenal's U-18 team (9 G, 3A, in 14 games), Folarin Balogun, was born in in the United States, raised in England, and holds Nigerian citizenship. I believe he's eligible for all 3 NT's.

Making his pro debut at age 15, @SKCAcademy product @gbusio10 is youngest player to appear in @USL this year. In first half with @SwopeRangers tonight: 100% passing accuracy (30/30) with 1 assist, 2 key passes and 3 crosses (all game highs). #SPRvCOS LINK

He looks legit. His dad is Italian (mom is a black American) so I wonder if he makes the jump to Europe sooner rather than later. He might be like Tyler Adams and play one full season before the European allure becomes too much to ignore. Also, his older sister is smoking.

Don't Tread On Us Retweeted Paris Saint-Germain

Tim Weah in the 18 for PSG'S match vs. Saint-Etienne. Big moves for the teenager. #USMNT

Johannson injured his ankle in training on Monday. Snakebit is an understatement with this guy

He and Brooks came into the USMNT fold around the same time, both with so much talent and promise, both with very brittle bodies.
