Any surprises, snubs, etc?

Personally, I was very happy Niclas Füllkrug was included on the German squad. Pretty crazy a 29 year old is getting his first call up for the World Cup.

Saw no Ivan Toney for England. My assumption is they’ll start Kane, Sterling, and Foden up top, but I’m sure someone smarter than me probably knows better. No Sancho or Abraham either.

For Brasil, I think Dani Alves is a shocker and a potential liability if they sustain defensive injuries in the tournament.

Everyone’s complaining about Firmino being snubbed but Richarlison has had the 9 locked down for a while.

No Koch

Kinda happy for Wilson. Don’t really give a shite but i like seeing people manifest shite and make it happen. I remember his interview over the summer where he said “I’ll be on the plane.” Toney is probably a better player but he’s uncapped and kind of a penalty merchant.

I love Germany’s attack, but don’t know enough about their back line. Is that the reason they’re like the 7th favorites and not closer to the top?

I was surprised that Gabriel Martinelli made the Brazil squad considering the depth in the attack. From fourth division football to the World Cup in less than four years is remarkable.

Facundo Torres got the call up for Uruguay. He killed it late in the season in MLS. Rumors Arsenal want to buy him, so big chance to hopefully to impress some.

England is very suspect in the back, so if our top guys are healthy and in form chances will be there.

The battle in the middle between us and England is going to be awesome to watch

I am worried about their attacking options vs our defense

Jack has done nothing to warrant a WC call up the last 7 months

No doubt. I can't believe Ivan Toney was left off.

Who is better than Jack at creating opportunities off the dribble?

I was surprised Martinelli made it. I think hes good enough, and should have made it, i have bias being an Arsenal fan, but I just didnt think he would. Especially with the other attacking talent they have.

Lol I posted before seeing this.

Ben white was a bit of a surprise to me because it just seemed lik he was an afterthought. but that would have been a huge snub if he didnt make that squad.

interesting, he is a bit older than saka and plays sakas position. And we bought the young Brazilian that plays on the rt wing.
